LTC(R) Dick Thompson, aka Dynamite, was the guest speaker. He focused on the comparison between MACV-SOG operations and today's Cognitive Warfare. If you listen to any information channel you are already on the battlefield.

Saturday my wife and I participated in the Apalachee Chapter NSDAR Wreaths Across America. 2000 wreaths were ceremoniously placed on veterans' graves in the local Watkinsville/Athens, GA area. Their service and sacrifice are appreciated and they are not forgotten.
It was an honor to be interviewed by this father/son team!
The North Vietnamese woman was reading obituaries over his encrypted radio. His obituary. By name. Dick Thompson (@HPS_CEO). The nickname only two people knew. Then she read off every man on his team. They knew exactly where the 22 Americans were hiding. And 800 enemy soldiers were already moving to surround them. In the jungle darkness, he watched lanterns coming down the mountain from one direction, more lights climbing the ridge from another. The weather was too bad for extraction. No gunships could reach them. Just adapt, adapt, adapt. That's what he'd trained his team: when the plan falls apart, you don't freeze, you move. Full episode link in bio.

From SOG Codename Dynamite:
“I stepped out onto the skid of the helicopter [400 ft above jungle floor], confident that I had a workable plan. . . . I stepped off the skid and quickly began to discover some flaws in my plan.”

2 Imperatives repeat throughout the Codename Dynamite series:
Learn from everything you do, good or bad. Ask, “How can I improve?”
Keep moving forward. When you’re tempted to give up, take 1 small step then another until you gain momentum to keep going. amzn.to/3PLuOF8

When coaching Leaders, Dr. Dick Thompson @HPS_CEO advises:
“Tattoo this on the back of your eyelids so you can be reminded every time you blink - When stress goes up, IQ, Emotional Intelligence and decision making effectiveness go down!”
