Proud to see @LondonFire firefighter on BBC News talking of rescuing a woman from collapsed building in Turkey after 50 hours. Scale is devastating but underlines importance of UK firefighters through @NFCC_FireChiefs & @UKISAR working with local & international colleagues

Firefighter Barry Martin suffered serious injuries while responding to a serious and complex building fire in Edinburgh yesterday. Barry, 38, remains in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and is in a critical condition. Our thoughts are very much with Barry and his family at this time.

It was a cold@one tonight so the @HWFire cadets spent the evening in the warm working in radio skills and knots and lines. Some head scratching going on working out ways to communicate when you can’t see the object.
