Nigeria exists as a country, but the idea of being Nigerian seems to have lost it’s meaning.

Right, brother, but things are getting worse, and we cannot keep living in fear. What is happening now should remind us of #EndSARS. If we allow these people to keep treating us like slaves in our own fatherland, we risk another crisis of that magnitude. We put them in power, and we have every right to demand accountability. We are all going to die someday, so why live in fear while our rights are trampled upon? We must stand up, speak out and fight for our future and the generations to come. Our children deserve better.

Have you ever asked yourself why, whenever you complain about police brutality, the next thing you see is some clown from the Police PR department (whatever they call themselves) responding with a picture of a police officer standing and facing the wall, deliberately refusing to show their face to the camera, while claiming that the officers involved have been summoned and that justice will be served? Yet, the very next day, you see those same officers back on the same road, doing exactly what they were accused of. This is Nigeria, bro, not the USA or Ghana. I’m Nigerian, but I genuinely respect Ghanaians and several other African countries when it comes to policing. In Nigeria, corruption has eaten deep into almost every aspect of the system, from politicians to the police force, and, sadly, even among us citizens, because we have become part of the problem. The painful truth is that we are cowards when it comes to standing up and fighting for what we deserve. We would rather come online to complain, argue and express outrage than collectively demand the accountability and justice we deserve. Instead, we spend our energy fighting over meaningless Elon Musk engagements while the very problems affecting our lives continue to thrive. We complain about a broken system but rarely do anything collectively to challenge it. And that’s exactly why things keep getting worse.

Police never dismisses their animalistic officers. They just pise for the cameras and change their stations.

“I Am Pregnant, Yet the Police Officer Kept Dragging Me” – Woman Recounts Ordeal During Sanitation Exercise Mrs Risi Abdulkareem, the pregnant woman seen in a viral video, has narrated her experience with officials of the Kwara State Environmental Taskforce during the October monthly sanitation exercise in Ilorin. According to her, she had gone to Oja-Oba market to buy some items for her mother when she was stopped by the officials. She expressed displeasure over the way they handled the situation, revealing that she was made to pay a ₦2,000 fine. She also explained that she was unaware of the exact time and could not tell whether the sanitation exercise was still ongoing when she was accosted. Although she has since been released, she said her dress was torn at the side during the scuffle and expressed disappointment over the treatment she received.
Trending video shows the moment a lady was arrested by Nigerian police officer in Ilorin, Kwara State, for allegedly violating environmental sanitation rules and movement restrictions during the ongoing exercise.
