A truth I hope will sink deeply into your soul is that your best is certainly good enough, that you are loved more than you can imagine, and that it isn't your achievements that define you, far less that determine anything about your worth or how you are seen by your Father in Heaven and His Son.

In recognition of the 250-year anniversary of the founding of the United States of America as a free and independent nation, Elder Quentin L. Cook and I discussed the importance of religious liberty and its underlying significance for the restored Church of Jesus Christ. We believe in religious liberty. As the Eleventh Article of Faith reminds us, “We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.”

He is Risen! Because He lives, we too will live again. His sacrifice makes it so that families are forever and I am so grateful because I sure love mine. I hope you are all having a beautiful Easter with those that you love. Happy Easter!

The real bug in #UtahFitsAll right now is the discriminatory tiered funding - not in-person vs. online private schools. Why is one Utah student worth less than another? Stop the gatekeeping and #FixTheTiers. Fund the student, not the seat. haitechmama.com/fund-the-stu…

I just contributed to a project that's blending comedy and horror with modern issues we all face. This film deserves to be made. Check it out and help if you can. Every bit helps! gofund.me/4827827a3

This morning, I described how blessed it is to be a peacemaker and how peacemaking begins in the most basic place: in our hearts, then in homes and families. As we practice there, peacemaking will spread into our neighborhoods and communities. Peacemakers are sometimes labeled naive or weak from all sides. Yet, to be a peacemaker is not to be weak, but to be strong in a way the world may not understand.

Mother’s Day can evoke a wide range of emotions—everything from deep gratitude for our mothers to worry that you haven’t done enough as a mother to the longing for the privilege of giving birth in this life. Regardless of your situation, I invite every woman to consider the remarkable relationship that the Lord Jesus Christ had with His mother, Mary. Repeatedly the Savior gave her special care and attention. Consider just three examples from His life and teachings. The first miracle Jesus Christ performed during His mortal ministry began with a request from His mother during a family gathering. His eager response signaled his love and respect: “What wilt thou have me to do for thee? that will I do…” (See John 2:4, JST.) The second example came at the most poignant time in the Savior’s mortal life. As he suffered unspeakable pain on the cross, Jesus focused His compassion on the well-being of His mother. Looking down to His Apostle John, standing next to Mary, He said, “Behold thy mother.” His meaning was clear: John was to care for Mary. Finally, consider the way the Savior compared His concern for His wayward brothers and sisters to that of a mother. “How oft would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings.” When a mother pleads with the Lord on behalf of a struggling child, she does so knowing that the Savior understands perfectly what she is feeling. I am deeply grateful for the remarkable women in my life who have enriched and mothered me, my family, and countless others in life-changing ways. Every woman has within her the essence of motherhood. Every woman is in a position to help build and change lives. May you each know that our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son know you, see you, and love you. Happy Mother’s Day!

I grew up as the youngest of nine in a tight-knit LDS family in Indiana, where faith was woven into everything we did. My five older brothers all served missions, and the gospel was a steady hum in our home—comforting, but not yet mine. In middle school and high school, doubts crept in. Is God real? Is this church true? I saw the peace it gave my family, but I needed to know for myself. My sophomore summer, I went to an Outdoor EFY camp in Idaho. Surrounded by wilderness, I spent a week feasting on the scriptures and spirit. One night, I secluded myself for hours, alone in the woods, repenting for my sinful nature and presence in that world of nature that was so obedient to God in contrast to me. And in that moment, it hit me—a warm, undeniable feeling of God’s love, just for me. My religion wasn’t just tradition anymore; it was my own personal experience with the truth of the Gospel. That conviction carried me to a mission in Taiwan and still guides every step I take to this day. You can listen to more of my story on this recent podcast: creators.spotify.com/pod/sho…
Quote this or comment, but I want to flood X with some positivity. We’ve all heard of a “red pill moment” or “blue pill moment” where something happened that changed your whole outlook. I want to hear your, we will call it, “white pill moment” where you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the gospel is true. #LDSx #faith
