We are standing with our friends in @girlsnightinHQ and having our own night in on Wednesday 27th October.
This night in is to boycott the nightclubs over the recent spiking outbreak that has emerged over the UK.
Spiking anyone is an act of violence and is unacceptable behaviour.
Taking advantage of people just trying to enjoy their night out is disgusting behaviour and part of why we are protesting - everyone should be able to feel safe on a night out in a bar or a club.
Today we hit 100 members! Well technically it's 102 😉 we're so excited to have you all here this year and can't wait to see you all at socials and in class 🖤 remember if you're a member you can join our Facebook group and group chat - search "Hallam Union Pole 2021/2022" 🥰
Our members voted and we listened! Our charity of the semester is @womens_aid 🖤 All proceeds from our charity raffles and showcase will be going towards them!
Women's Aid provide life saving services for women and children trapped in domestic abuse 💖
We had SO much fun today at the Drag brunch! Thank you @puffpuffgals for the entertainment 🥰🖤
With freshers out the way we're starting up FAQ Wednesday and History Friday again!
Today's FAQ: Can men join pole?
The answer is: of course!!!
If you identify as a man or are male presenting there is absolutely no reason why you wouldn't be able to join. It's an outdated
muscle, strength and endurance. You can also try out Sasha's lyrical class and see how you do with choreography or buy some pleasers and try out a heels class!
You won't be treated any different due to your gender. A membership offers you the same things as everyone else -
We understand the studio is not the easiest to find! Google maps is always your friend but if you're not 100% sure here's some photos of the landmarks you can use to orientate yourself!
We also fully endorse going to get a donut from the big lidl after class 🥰
We are officially switching over to members only! You MUST have a membership to attend classes from now.
A membership offers you a ton of things within the society! There's no limit on how many classes you can go to, we offer sasha's lyrical and are working on getting a heels
class 🥰 Classes will be mixed ability onwards.
We recommend you join our Facebook group and chat to not miss any news and there is a master post in the Facebook group with full explanations about everything 💖
We offer other things like exclusive socials, move, bruise & bum of
