Find it very strange that Healthwatch is asking this question and then when someone replies with keep beds open, they defend decision. This on top of fact that you are asking this question for a so called 'temporary closure' = bizarre (we know it's not temp, no start date, etc)

@CQCpressoffice surely alternatives to full closure of 22 bed Chartridge ward in Amersham? E.g adjusting the bed numbers to meet safe staffing? Full closure seems very extreme when we know that the system is under so much pressure. Concerns re. patient safety if ward closes 1/2
@CQCpressoffice Patients need the 24/7 care. General patients are taking over specialist beds in Stoke and that's with this ward open!! Please urgently intervene and prevent another staff team being ripped apart.

On 22.08.18 I interviewed representatives of Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust about the closure of overnight beds in Marlow. They told me that Chartridge ward in Amersham was the fallback option for people in Marlow.

Same Chartridge ward team being ripped apart - it's not too late to save it @BucksHealthcare Closure of the full 22 beds seems ridiculous when there is so much pressure in the system

Meant to be on sabbatical but a loss of 22 more beds in Bucks is absolutely ridiculous. Wards are full and general patients are taking over specialist beds - that's with this ward open! Please contact your politicians and ask them what they are doing.
Why have you called it a temporary closure when no jobs being advertised and no date given for reopening? Do you really think a ward full or patients will suddenly not be needed and patients will be better off without 24/7 care? What are you doing to champion patients and staff?
