(1/2) Proactive few shifts in #Southampton. Stopped a car on Bedford Place finding crack cocaine on the driver. I arrested after a positive drug wipe. Last night, stopped a suspicious male in The Polygon, finding crack and heroin wraps. I arrested and this led to an address...
A day alongside a senior HIOWC officer or two ….. adding to my understanding of the role of “silver” and looking at some key areas around SCs

First shift back in 3-weeks after day job travel. Thought I would walk the beat to ease back in to it. 👮♂️ Bumped into a suspicious male who I searched. I found approx 40 deals of class B 🌿 ready for sale. I arrested the male who is spending the evening at hotel custody! #90289
One of the skills I am so grateful for is First Aid
Yearly refresher completed today - always makes me reflect a little when I consider what some of this could be used for !

Initially I wondered why the 17-year-old I simply intended to search began resisting. After a struggle and a search, I found out why. One in custody for possession of a zombie machete in his waistband this evening in #Soton. They really do exist - one more off our streets. #90289
Busy weekend this weekend…
Out and about on duty Saturday night - trip around the county catching up with Specials on duty
Then a Specials recruitment event and a chance to meet some good candidates wanting to volunteer within Hampshire & IOW
Very enjoyable all round 🤩

Today, the CPS authorised 7 charges including weapon and various drug supply offences. The likely starting point for sentencing is 4 years and 6 months. An amazing and worthwhile experience. A long way to go until sentencing but very rewarding and my proudest achievement so far.

Stopped a vehicle in #Southampton. Two out of county males detained and searched. After one of the males heavily resisted making off in handcuffs, I used PAVA and arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A. Further search found crack & heroin #90289
Just want to wish everyone a very Happy and Restful Christmas from myself and the HIOW Special Constabulary @HantsSpecials
And if you are on duty in any capacity - stay safe.
Great night at the @Hantspolfed awards evening raising money for charity and celebrating the amazing work of officers and Fed members. Great to hand over the SC award too!
Well done all
Two of my SCs on the bbc today - great work 🤩 @HantsSpecials @HantsPolice
Great to welcome 9 new SCs to Hampshire & IOW this evening. Induction completed and some key pointers for the future such as Code Of Ethics.
They’ve also picked up their uniform, taken their ID photo and set up their smartphones ready for Attestation later in week.
