**They received no medals. They asked for no recognition. But their courage, endurance and sacrifice must never be forgotten.**

America’s newest national park is rock solid!
Chiricahua is officially our 64th national park. Welcome to the "Wonderland of Rocks."
Absolutely LOVE foxes! I always get excited when I see a pair cross our fields on the way back to the woods, usually just before dawn!

Fascinating Camel rock formation for #RockinTuesday at Angel Peak!
Something for #Twosday. There was actually a couple more submerged turtles trying to climb up on this log at intervals during this shot!
Have had the same problem, and it makes my blood boil! Thing is, if they ask permission BEFOREHAND, I have no problem with them setting up stands, as it is not uncommon to see herds of 100 + deer in the back field.
Let me start with I love legal safe hunting! Its a human right and a good skill most city folks will never do.
I cant stand poachers and hunters who enter my land illegally to hunt.
They took down all my steel no hunting signs
They cut and removed all the purple tape.
They put up hunter stands, hunter cameras, and even welded it in the back of my forest to fix it up.
I called the Greene County Sheriff and she said basically kick rocks. And we had an active hunters cellular camera.

Have been lucky to spot these cute little guys on occasion while hiking Devil's Canyon in #AZ. Not hard to miss with that upright tail carriage! Always so exciting!
Wait… coatis in the U.S.?
Yep! Chiricahua National Monument is home to white-nosed coatis, the curious cousins of the raccoon. These playful foragers dig, climb, chase and explore.
Large groups are usually females and young, while adult males go solo.

Reminds me when we had a newborn baby elk run right through the center of our camp site on the Mogollon Rim. When we first heard the bleating, I thought it might be a distressed bird until I spotted it. So exciting! Hopefully, the little guy made it back to mama!
