Congrats to everyone!
Looking back at the election, I think it's important to take away areas to improve. In this case, is ranked choice best? Is ranked choice the actual method that was used?
The Update Constitutional Committee action has ratified. 🗳️✅
Thank you to everyone who helped get this over the line.
Those working behind the scenes, reaching out to exchanges and pools, tracking down contacts, sharing information and making sure the right people understood what was at stake, the effort that went into this was immense.
Every DRep and SPO who took the time to vote, even though the decision or process isn’t necessarily an easy one, thank you for showing up and participating. 🙏
And @IOHK_Charles. Thanks for getting out here with us, using your reach to explain why getting this action through mattered. Every bit helped and this one really was a collective effort across the ecosystem.
Finally thank you and congratulations to the new CC members, who put themselves forward to keep things moving the way our Constitution intends.
Manifesting my wildest DRMZ 💜
Grateful for this hunger for knowledge that drives my pursuits
The purple ring tracks Cardano’s 5-day epoch. The bar fills as it progresses through the 5 sections of the ring/body.
The Pool Activity tracks DRMZ’s delegation since epoch 314, showing the highs and lows— and how far we’ve come as a small SPO.
The goal is still 1 million by end of 2026! Help us get there by staking with DRMZ.

Watch my video. Why? Two reasons.
1) I made it and you love me.
2) It's awesome.
Thanks.

I thought about this so long this morning I fell asleep before I could respond adequately and efficiently. I believe I may want to move this topic over the forum for something more long form friendly in order to make a case where bundling parameters may be necessary. But before all of that, I know what you mean, where you are coming from, and understand the extreme caution when discussing parameters. This caution is and always will be necessary and I think with a closer examination of this hesitation, we may find that type of thought, the hesitation or absolute rejection of bundled parameters changes is born from al most 10 years ago, and then again reborn 3 to 4 years ago when writing the constitution.
There has been plenty of time to review the perfoirmance of the blockchain, the protocol, the governance and the desired objectives.
Here's a couple of bullet points to start and then I may switch ot the forum.
A few case and examples for the buyndling of parameter changes:
1. The Appendix of the Constitution itself acknowledges dependencies and "intrinsic" relationships of parameters. This wording isn't justification or confirmation that parameters, or parameters changes, should or must be bundled, but rather confirming that basically, parameters cannot be considered independently.
I personally do not like this language, "Not all parameters...can be considered independently", because it implies that almost all, most of, the majority, of both critical groups, operations and governance, can be considered individually, independently, unrelated.
This creates a template for siloing thought and attention.
SIDE NOTE: I'm not even sure if this is the right constitution at this point. (cardano.org/constitution/#2-…)
2. Author/Proposers of Gov Action - As you stated, not the best leadership or decision making by the members of very important committees. The @IntersectTSC is made up of some of the brightest, wisest, most experienced and knowldgeable people that I know of in Cardano. Check the current list, who knows better? Not all members are also employees of IOG/Intersect/CF or part of other committees or working groups, but almost all are. I actually don't know, it's certainly not listed or displayed on the knowledgebase and IMO, not easily accessible. Okay, tangent aside and back to the main point of validating the change in thinking of bundled parameter changes. Now let's add in the Parameter Sub Committee, with 24 members all of whom, mostly all anyway, have a ton of respect for and confidence in their ability to arrive at the best and most effective outcome.
But at the end of the day, the only reason I am involved in this conversation is because of the post from @therealdisasm from August 25th...It's almost been a month since then and where are we now?

So to reiterate, tjhe second reason to consider changing how we think about and approach parameters, parameter changes, and the Constitution, is because we just witnessed everyone with assumed, implied, or elected power consent to submitting this govAction and I have no doubt almost everyone would like a mulligan, a do over, but that is not the goverance framework we created or are using. I mean, these are two CRITICAL PARAMETERS, one for operations and one for governance. Bundled?
#3 How in the heck did the CC not see that this was not consititutional?
Cardano is in a precarious situtaion right now and we all might benefit from re-examining the way we think about things starting with Parameter changes and quite specifically how we are submitting govActions, Change Requests, and Treasury Withdrawals.
I'd love to see the Hard Fork working group and the @Intersectproduct submit a govAction and Treasury Request to assist wallets and dapp builders be ready for #Dijkstra. There are a lot of teams running on skeleton crews and it seems to be a pretty damn big HFCE into a new feraking era, yeah?

There are a handful of additional reasons to reconsider bundling certain parameters and I'll point those out in the forum post.
I want to say to everyone that is or was involved in that last gov action and ones to come, thank you. I can only imagine how much time and energy everyone spent and will spend on these things. Much respect and admiration to all!

We have to pay attention also to this one @pedrolucasnet , is the reference haskell node, which is really what I was dreaming of since I joined this ecosystem : 'Let's turn #Cardano into the blockchain of the web'.
The gif is the reply to your former question 😉
