Shout out to boss man @MattMajkrzak on his first d1 win.
He is one of one!
#GoHuskies!
That’ll do it. The Northern Illinois Huskies STUN Dayton. It’s the first win of the Matt Majkrzak era and it’s a massive one. Could see the Huskies making real noise in the Horizon with this guard play. Max Weisbrod with 8+ assists in all three games and he’s still a big time shooter. David Douglas is fantastic as well. Quite the duo.

NORTHERN ILLINOIS UPSETS DAYTON!
Final / OT:
NIU - 80
Dayton - 76
I would say it’s a stunning loss, but these kind of shocking results have been common for Dayton. For NIU, Weisbrod and Douglas Jr is a filthy duo in the Horizon.

NIU SHOCKINGLY UPSETS DAYTON IN OVERTIME 🤯🤯🤯
The Huskies were ranked 305th on KenPom and had already suffered a loss to Grambling State.

Max @Weisbrod_3 is my guy. No one I trust more. He’s helped me personally win more not just with big shots but just how he is every day.
Equally confident in putting the ball in his hands at the end of Grambling as I was tonight.
Love you man!
NIU UPSETS DAYTON IN OVERTIME!!Two HUGE triples in this one from Max Weisbrod.

Why this is a great job. Wanted to come back home and put his stamp on the program and the area.
We need more of this!!!
Going to keep getting better too.
Northern Illinois UPSETS Dayton in OT!

Northern Illinois 6’5 PG Max Weisbrod has been one of the most impressive mid major players in college basketball so far this season.
Through his first three games Weisbrod is averaging 17/4/8, while shooting 55% from three on 7 attempts a game.
Weisbrod has been one of the best shooters and passers in the country so far this season, who’s shot incredibly efficient with a tough shot diet of off the dribble threes, and contested movement threes.
Weisbrod’s ability to shoot from three as a creator or spot up guy opens up the floor a lot with his height. Weisbrod also has great passing vision for his height, and he has the ability to consistently find his teammates with the ball in his hands or as a connector while rarely turning the ball over.

Amazing. Total team win. So proud of everyone who was on the trip. It was a difficult week. Found a Way!
I didn’t score the way I usually do, again finished with 0….
Just awesome! We got way better this week.
