In the meantime, here's one of my favourite @HarrisPreston paintings. It's by Arthur Devis; I'll be like the two chaps in the treehouse looking on, and I wish my fabulous colleagues all the best. 2/2 #HarrisYourPlace #ArtsFundraising #MuseumFriends #TrustsandFoundations #Legacies

Amazing news from Preston today. @emmajaneparsons and I are doing another happy funding result dance. Together with the team we've put together a fascinating Activity Plan and I can't wait to see how the project emerges. Well done on a decade of work reaching this stage.
Exciting news! 🎊
The #HarrisYourPlace project is going ahead!
We have been awarded £4.5m by @HeritageFundNOR: the final funding needed for the Harris' £10m transformation.

I wonder if people ever stop to think how much work goes into getting objects/pictures digitised by museums & galleries. If you share an image from a museum collection please credit the institution that cares for it & invested in taking that picture. Especially at the moment!
While we’re closed, we’ve been getting more of our collection 📷. Here's @simonregan shooting Dr Bev's dress. #BehindTheScenes

We know the road ahead of us is long, but following the Prime Minister's publication of the "Roadmap" we think it is a pretty good time to say thank you to all our residents, businesses and community groups who continue to do their bit in #Preston to stop the spread of the virus.

Our latest exhibition ‘Art of the Second World War' marks 80 years since the Battle of Britain.
Artist Anthony Padgett asked Prestonians for their WWII stories & photographed them to create this spitfire sculpture; a plane key to Britain’s success in the Battle of Britain. 🛩️
