Bye ball.
Notice a few things here that separate this kid.
First, he gets a snap to his left. With a hand toss, you have less time to react, so your technique has to be even cleaner. Getting your body in front of a ball that’s hand tossed to your left that quickly and efficiently is not as easy as he makes it look. That’s a skill that takes a lot of reps.
He does a great job getting his body in front of the ball, catching it out in front, and setting it quickly.
Then watch what he does next. He SPINS the ball to get the laces in the exact same position every single time. That consistency allows his physical ability to take over.
If you’re a school looking for a high-level punter, this is your guy. He’s a 2027 prospect from Birmingham, Alabama, and he’s an outstanding holder as well.
This is the type of athlete you’re looking for.
