The only change at MUFC is that Michael Carrick will play centre mid at Chelsea. Plus Jonny Evans will return as a central defender. Any delay was because Evans wanted confirmation that he wouldn't win the Ballon d'Or last night. He has a point to prove. They all do. Big time

🚨 Michael Carrick will be given chance to turn results around. Carrick is taking training at Carrington, staff + players preparing #MUFC for Saturday trip to Chelsea. More @TheAthleticFC soon.

Michael Carrick has arrived back at Carrington this morning in his United tracksuit #mufc

WOW THIS IS MENTAL United fans all singing and supporting Carrick and as soon as he goes down the tunnel everyone boos the players😳

Exc: Growing tensions upstairs as United between Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell. Nagelsmann v Prem Proven boss a source of contention, I’m told. Latest on #mufc w/@ChrisWheelerDM dailymail.com/sport/football…

Carrick is so lucky he has friends in the media who can deflect this on to Bruno. If these results and performances were on a foreign coach it'd be a 10am sacking. Sad what the club has become

Julian Nagelsmann is expected to be a leading candidate for the Manchester United job if the club decide to sack under-fire head coach Michael Carrick. Telegraph Sport understands that the former Germany and Bayern Munich manager would like the role if a change happens⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

“Whatever system you play… If you don’t run, don’t run forward or don’t run back you’re not going to win”

Cesc Fabregas Como have made us look like a team who had won a RAFFLE to be in the Champions league. At times it looked as though Como had 12 players on the pitch. We were TOOTHLESS in attack NO running power in the team An INABILITY to press Como NO patterns in possession A lot of credit has to go to Cesc and the way he has built this team & then you see the way he has got his ideas into this team. Everyone knows their jobs and are dialled in in and out of possession. They play to teammates under pressure - a great example of trust in one another. But that is no excuse for us, we were poor on the night and look a team on zero confidence right now - so much to do to turn this around....and I haven't even got onto the injuries! 🤬 The difference in budgets certainly wasn’t reflected in the difference between the two teams on the pitch! Nico Paz - lovely footballer btw. #MUFC #COMO #UCL

Remember when United just had to play four at the back and everything would be fixed?

If you are watching tonight’s game in isolation, you’d quickly come to the conclusion that #MUFC are a badly coached side. Poor in possession, disjointed without the ball and reliant on individual moments rather than creating anything meaningful. There’s little cohesion, no clear pattern of play and very little to suggest a team with a defined identity.

🚨 NEW: Manchester United’s defensive rebuild next summer is set to signal the END of Lisandro Martínez’s Old Trafford career. United would be very RELUCTANT to let him leave as a free agent, so it’s more probable that the club would trigger a 12-month extension in his contract and try to sell him in the summer. #MUFC [@ChrisWheelerDM, @NathSalt1]

"You're shoehorning in your best player" "What are they trying to do?" @Carra23 and Micah Richards assess some of the issues in Manchester United's set up 🤔

Leo Messi has just scored these 2 goals in the span of 4 minutes at the age of 39. I swear I'm genuinely out of words. I don't know what to say.
