Can't stop thinking about Andrew Goodman and James Chaney today, Jewish and Black activists killed in '64 by the KKK for registering Black voters in... Mississippi.
The same state that's about to send a Black man to the Senate to fight for Civil Rights – alongside a Jew from GA.

I'm glad somebody in his field said it. Stephen A Smith is a hardcore republican cosplaying as a centrist and it's been blatantly obvious for a few years now

Hard to put into words how monumental a feat this is.
Not only was she outspent by an ungodly amount.
Not only did she run one of the best campaigns in the country.
But her becoming governor will prevent so much suffering to some of the most vulnerable and impoverished people in this country that Greg Abbott has treated like pieces of human garbage for over a decade.
God bless Texas. God bless James Talarico. God bless Gina Hinojosa.

Gabby Williams, who’s been vocal about trans inclusion in sports, was asked what it's like to play for a fan base and a franchise that really speaks out for inclusion, that wants everyone to show up as their full selves:
“I've said it multiple times that Ballhalla became my safe space. I mean, I'll never stop fighting for those who maybe can't fight for themselves in this moment.
I'll continue to use my platform in that way, but it's scary, you know. Obviously, I was getting plenty of death threats. There was, you know, some security issues and stuff, and there were moments where I was like, how am I gonna play through all this? And then I would walk into Ballhalla and be like, oh, that's how, that's how.
So I want to thank our fan base for just being themselves because it allowed me to be myself, and that's you. This is what the Bay Area is all about. The Bay Area is a pioneer in these kinds of issues and topics. So I'm proud to represent the Bay.”

I said (at length, in a book), Trump's base is full of people who are bored, resentful, angry about the outcome of their own lives. They were happy to punish others for that - until they realized Trump hates *them*, too.
They didn't see it until gas got expensive, but... okay 🤷♂️

The Haley Stevens crash out makes Fetterman seem chill.
This behavior is beyond the pale. She’s clearly motivated by personal grievance despite her transparent attempts to make it about something else. Working to preserve a MAGA majority in the Senate is against her constituents’ interests and everything she ostensibly stood for.
Unbelievably selfish behavior.

Here's what Obama is saying now, onstage with AES:
“Whenever a movement builds to challenge that broken system, the people who benefit from the status quo will say and do anything to stop that train from coming. They will use lies, and they will use fear, and they will use division, and their name, or your faith, to somehow suggest that you are dangerous and less than trustworthy and less patriotic and less American than they are. We have seen this movie before. I starred in it.”
I guess @Lis_Smith would accuse Obama of "crying" racism, too.
From the moment I started on the Obama campaign in late 2026, we had a never ending set of Islamophobic and racist actions (bricks through offices, flyers, ads, threats of violence to staff and volunteers).
But whenever he was asked about it @BarackObama used a version of what he said in his speech in Philly.
"I have no doubt there are people who voted against me because of race... or didn't approve of my agenda because of race. I also suspect there are a bunch of people who are excited or voted for me because of the notion of the first African-American president... Those things cut both ways."

Hate Steph or Draymond as much as you want…. These are 2 of the greatest competitors in the HISTORY of sports.
Late 30s, mediocre roster…. And they still show the fuck up every night.
NEVER take these guys for granted. EVER.
