The fossil fuel industry continues to pocket massive profits and subsidies.
Meanwhile, everyday people bear the costs of climate catastrophe – from rising insurance premiums to lost livelihoods.
Those who shoulder the blame must foot the bill.

The UK must significantly increase the use of these technologies. By 2030, we need to see:
- New electric car sales need to go from 16.5% -> to nearly 100%
- Heat pump installations need to go from 1% to 10%
- Increases in offshore wind x3⃣, onshore wind x2⃣, solar x5⃣

ALT One of our key indicators on roll-out of low-carbon technologies is on track (public electric vehicle chargepoints), eight are off track (battery electric car and van shares of total sales, residential heat pump installations, electricity used in industry, offshore wind, onshore wind and solar operational capacities, unabated gas share of electricity generation).

We had very interesting discussions with people recently affected by flooding on Hayling Island today. One person said quite a few are already moving out because of it!
Most people we spoke to were very concerned with the #ClimateCrisis

I'm a few days early, but based on current forecasts, it looks like May, 2024 will end up over 1.5°C.
If this holds for the next 5 days, May, 2024 will mark the 11th consecutive month over 1.5°C and the 12th straight month setting a record monthly high.

Truth is @thameswater and @SouthernWater don't even know where larges parts of their sewage system is, don't know where to find it or even where it goes
