She's lying through her teeth. 40 years ago, prices were falling, industries were growing. That changed when the Labour government introduced green energy and climate policies.
40 years of failed energy policies have driven us to this point. If we want a system that's fair, affordable & works for the British people - we need public control. Today's Budget is about giving people breathing space while we fix the broken system & put the public in control ⬇️

The last thing Britain needs right now is an influx of Gazan students who have been taught pro-Hamas propaganda. Our government is willingly inviting a national security threat. Nobody voted for this level of suicidal empathy. nitter.gq/DeepStormHQ/status/211…

Honoured to have my book in such esteemed company. If you're thinking of getting a copy of my book "75 Brexit Benefits", then you could get a copy from Oldspeak and support Jo (who is a wonderful and lovely person).

So you agree - you made a nice living hovering around the EU institutions - as I did. Let’s get Britain back and let’s get our noses back in the trough.

A peculiar facet of the legacy Brexit debate is that those who would have us rejoin couldn't really tell you why. Their motive is mainly spite for the people who voted to leave. Very few actually want what the EU was designed to be. They might want the trade and travel perks, but I'd be surprised if there are still European federalists around, and nobody sane thinks joining the Euro is a good idea. My question is, if you're not actually on board with the ambition of a European federal state, why even bother getting us mixed up in all that again? Are you seriously telling us you'd hand over fishing rights, regulatory autonomy, and billions of pounds just so you don't have to queue at airports? You really want Ursula von der Leyen making our strategic decisions? Do you really hate leave voters that much?

I think you mean “you made money hovering around EU institutions” so I assume you do understand how EU law is made, but you choose to mislead in the hope of more lobbying work. If so, fair enough. If not, you’re another Brit Eurogammon.

The price of natural gas is the same all across Europe. That the UK's sky high electricity prices are 'because of the price of gas' is self-evidently untrue. Other countries pay the same gas prices but have much lower electricity prices. We must look elsewhere for the cause of our predicament Could it be our 'world-leading' renewables?

"UK announces further tariff suspensions on food, drink and fuel" Not a big deal in the wider scheme of things but also, of course, not possible if the UK were still in the EU, or even just a customs union... 👇 gov.uk/government/news/every…

Whether you are happy or not that the Prime Minister is opening up the Brexit debate again, there are two things we know for certain. 1. He lied about not opening up the Brexit debate again. 2. He wouldn't be the PM right now, if he hadn't lied about it.

17.4 million people voted to Leave the EU and end free movement. But one man, who only a few months ago wasn’t even an MP, believes he has the god given right to ignore them. Go to hell Andy Burnham.

There's no confusion, he's a fucking liar.
NEW There is some confusion over Andy Burnham's position on Brexit Earlier this morning: Reporter asks: "Will you allow the UK to join the EU freedom of movement without a referendum?" Andy Burnham says: "No. And I wasn't saying that", adding that he would "never move ahead of the British public when it comes to Brexit". 11.30am Lobby briefing: Number 10 will now not say whether the British public will get a referendum on rejoining EU freedom of movement. A spokesman says: "The process will be set out in due course ... He wants to have an open debate about this.... there are no options on the table." What do you think? More now on @GBNEWS.

So Abu Dhabi Andy wants to rip up the current Labour manifesto, and commence negotiations with the EU on a possible rejoin at his November 20 summit. Is funny, as 2022 Andy had a real problem with new PMs coming in and ripping up manifestos. Hat tip to @stuckgear for the grab.

This is the reality. This is the actual data on UK trade post-Brexit. David is not some random guy on X (like me). David is the Professor of Industrial Economics at Nottingham University. This is the data. The actual data. Not some garbage forecast about a fictional earth.

… The reality is UK total (goods & services) exports to EU in 2025 were: · ⬆️ 18.9% on 2015 (pre-referendum) · ⬆️ 3.8% on 2019 (before leaving EU) · ⬆️3.2% on last year. All in real terms (source: ONS trade statistics) …

This is an outright lie from the Prime Minister, on national TV this morning. Brexit did not cause the small boats crisis. It started three years before we left. He knows it is a lie. We know that he knows it is a lie. He knows that we know it is a lie. He just doesn't care.
BREAKING: "I will never move ahead of the British public when it comes to Brexit." The PM has ruled out re-joining the EU within 'this parliament', but he would 'like' to see the UK return in his lifetime. trib.al/apj80h1 📺 Sky 501

A reminder of what Burnham said in May: "I am not proposing that the UK considers rejoining the EU, I respect the decision that was made at the referendum." Now he wants an "honest" conversation about the EU after he lied? You can’t trust a word he says.
