Interested in how obesity influences autoimmunity in the context of arthritis? Please check out our paper which implicates IFN type 1 signaling in T cells. Much thanks to #ANRF for funding this project!
Faust, Brenner et al. @BrighamWomens @harvardmed show that type I IFN signaling contributes to #arthritis pathogenesis in obesity through activation and expansion of CD8 T cells in visceral adipose tissue and synovium. hubs.la/Q03w2B-S0

Have you ever wondered how homeostasis is maintained in human synovial tissue? Read our paper describing how fat helps maintain homeostasis through the activation of cortisol! This circuit is disrupted in arthritis, leading to fibroblast dysfunction: rdcu.be/d0c26

Very excited that our preprint “Extracellular matrix scaffold-assisted tumor vaccines induce tumor regression and long-term immune memory” is now online! Congrats to @Sanjay_Pal7 for and thanks to the NCI IRP @NCIResearchCtr for support. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Checkout this awesome paper on inducible cre lines by @TravisFaust2!
A terrific effort by @TravisFaust2 and @FeinbergPA @UMassChan @NeurobioUMass to compare all the major microglia inducible Cre lines. I am very proud of you. Thanks to @lab_schaefer and the Prinz lab for the collaboration.
Please check out my paper on healthy synovial fibroblasts and the role of cortisol signaling, now on Bioarchive. Much thanks to all my co-authors!! @ilyakorsunsky

Check out this awesome work on inducible cre lines from the Schafer lab!
An excellent effort by @TravisFaust2 and @FeinbergPA in the lab. For anyone using #microglia CreER lines, this study compares the varying degrees of recombination for some of the most widely used lines. I hope this helps the community. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Great microglia work by @TravisFaust2!!
Quick brag…My postdoc @TravisFaust2 gave an amazing talk on microglia to astrocyte communication @cshlmeetings #CSHLglia. He is killing it!
Congratulations @AHelenaJonsson1 , it is always a pleasure to work with you (and learn more about T cells from you!).
Incredibly excited to share our GzmK+ CD8 T cell paper, this week's @ScienceTM cover! GzmK+ (Ttek) CD8 T cells are a major tissue T cell pop in RA and other diseases, & TCR repertoire indicates they are distinct from CTLs. Loved collaborating w @FanZhang_Jessie & @soumya_boston
I am very excited and honored to be selected for an ANRF grant this year! #ANRF
Super proud of @HeatherJFaust for her early-career grant from @CureArthritis! 😍
“Adipose Tissue as a Memory T Cell Storage Site in Inflammatory Arthritis”
Congrats to my colleagues on this incredible resource!
1/ Thrilled to share our work presenting the AMP ( @NIH_NIAMS @NIAIDNews) #rheumatoidarthritis single cell resource with @FanZhang_Jessie, @AHelenaJonsson1, @aparnanathan, Kevin Wei, @nghia_millard, many others.

Please check out this excellent review on synaptic pruning! 😄
It was a pleasure to work on this review on activity-dependent synaptic pruning 🍡🥠 @NatRevNeurosci with Georgia Gunner and @SchaferLabUMCMS. We covered:
-Model circuits
-Immune mechanisms
-Cell death molecules
-Neurodevelopmental disorders

For pregnant women with “lower risk” of exposure to Covid-19 debating whether to get the Pfizer/Modern mRNA vaccines, I put together some research on the vaccine lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and how the placenta prevents LNPs in the bloodstream from reaching the fetus. (1/11)
Vaccine was also administered to pregnant rodents by Moderna and the fetuses were by all accounts normal (size, weight, skeletal structure), with no observations to raise red flags. acog.org/covid-19/covid-19-v… (10/11).
