Notes on AI agents, developer workflows, and small product tools.

A reusable Codex prompt doesn't tell you which permission profile is active. Compare two dummy preset texts with a line-by-line text diff: devsexy.com/tools/text-diff-… Then check the profile in the CLI.

An AI-built prototype isn't handed off just because the screen works. Check a fake JSON fixture with a JSON formatter and validator: devsexy.com/tools/json-forma…. Then run the real workflow and name who'll fix it when it breaks.
5
A convincing diff can still fail to compile. Xojo says its Agentic Mode lets an agent run a project and read compiler errors. I'd judge the agent by whether it can use that error to revise the code.
6
Switching models doesn't unplug the tools your coding agent can call. Before a run, check the connected MCP servers and extensions, and limit access to what this task actually needs.

Before a long coding-agent run, check which usage pool the model draws from and where your spending limit is set. Cursor's plans don't all bill model usage the same way. Picking a model is a cost decision too.
7
A good-looking clip can still sound like the wrong scene. HeyGen Video says it generates picture and sound together, so I'd put "quiet room tone, no music" in the shot prompt instead of hoping the audio fits afterward.
7
Making an app got easier. Deciding whether to try one still takes time. If you're asking strangers to test yours, show the task it handles and one working example before asking for an afternoon of theirs.
6
A longer image prompt can't tell you what the first result missed. Midjourney is testing an Alpha 8.2 rerun that checks the result for missed objects or text before generating again. I'd try it on one stubborn detail and compare the two images.
6
Antigravity's Auto mode treats a lint fix differently from a command leaving the sandbox. I'd want that boundary explained before the agent asks me to approve anything. Agentic UI approval demo: awesomegenerativeui.com/vide…

Google says its Gemini agent can return work to inboxes and developer environments. Before I hand one of these agents a task, I want to know whose access it uses and who can revoke it. Put that answer where the task starts.

If an AI proposes a security patch, I want to know whether the scanner ran again. GitHub says agentic autofix reruns CodeQL before opening a draft PR. That's useful context for reviewing the diff, not a reason to skip it.
4
If AI makes copying a game easier, I don't want buying one to get harder. Former Take-Two AI lead Luke Dicken says more invasive DRM or streaming could follow. I'd rather see platforms handle clones than make every player clear another checkpoint.
12
PhotoCraft's alpha roadmap flags PSD compatibility. I'd edit a real file, export it, and reopen it in Photoshop before calling the workflow ready. The toolbar can look finished long before that handoff works.
3
Microsoft says HydraFusion will route coding-agent work between local and cloud models in a planned preview. If my agent sends a task to the cloud, I'd like to know why. Another model picker won't tell me that.
4
X's new subscription bundles Grok and Cursor. Before replacing an existing coding plan, I'd check what a busy week in Cursor actually uses from the allowance. That's the part the list of included tools can't tell me.
5
OpenAI's ChatGPT can make answers interactive. A savings calculator helps when you want to change the numbers. If you just need a fact, I'd rather read a sentence. ChatGPT interactive answer example: awesomegenerativeui.com/case…
6
Copilot's local sandbox is GA. That says nothing about the session you already have open. Before an agent runs a command, check its effective file, network, and credential policy (/sandbox policy in the CLI). Changing a setting won't update an existing session.
5
Anthropic's beta Managed Agents let an agent write the workflow for other agents. I'd check the handoffs before trusting the final answer: what each phase received, what it returned, and what got combined. The agent count won't tell you where context went missing.
4
The scan may be free; the maintainer's afternoon isn't. Anthropic says its opt-in OSS Scanner sends model-generated reports without human triage, and some may be invalid. I'd budget review time before turning on periodic scans.
4
Haiku 5.5 makes me want to give a smaller coding model boring jobs I can check: summarize this diff, sort these issues. I'd read the handoff before it steers a code change.
