Amazing news!
Texas Children's opens the nation's first detransition clinic. Now the hospital has to pay to help undo the damage.
Under a $10 million settlement with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton over billing Texas Medicaid for 'gender-transition' interventions, Texas Children's Hospital in Houston has opened what Paxton calls the nation's first detransition clinic. The hospital must fully fund the clinic's care for its first five years, so patients pay nothing.
Services include endocrinology, surgery, primary care, fertility counseling, psychiatry, psychology, social work and case management, and speech pathology.

Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives.
He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter.
"I want to recognize [the teacher]. She gave me the opportunity to make my shot without losing my life..."
"I swung the door open, and I stepped in, and I fired, and they dropped to the ground... I looked down at the gunman, and he was scrambling for his weapon. And I looked at him, and I shot him 2 more times..."

Today, my son Mason should be turning sixteen.
There should be the sound of him somewhere in the house⊠the ordinary noises of a teenage boy, the kind of life that would have filled the rooms he never got to inhabit.
My husband left for work while it was still dark, and the quiet that remains sits across from me like an uninvited guest.
It fills the spaces where his presence once was, even at four months old.
I know now exactly what I didnât know then.
I can name the silence I mistook for ordinary and the choice I would have made differently if I had understood it mattered.
Mason died four days after his routine four-month vaccines.
The autopsy was normal.
They found no cause.
His death is what taught me.
It forced this knowledge into me, complete and unusable for him, and left me carrying it into every conversation that followed.
Everything I teach and every cause I advocate for exists only because he is not here.
Losing him is the sole reason my voice entered the fight for medical freedom, parental choice, free speech, and putting people over profits.
It is why I speak about the right to decide what enters a childâs body, about food free of toxins, about the everyday products we use that should not be quietly harming us, and about the ways platforms silence voices when their pharmaceutical sponsors decide certain truths cost too much.
This enormous loss is what keeps me in this work.
I educate so others might learn before they vaccinate, before a morning like this one becomes permanent for them.
I talk with legislators because individual awareness is not enough; the systems that failed my son need to change so that fewer families are left sitting in a quiet kitchen on a birthday that never arrives.
He should be sixteen today.
Not the reason my voice carries farther than his ever will.
Not the name that opens doors and fills rooms and gives weight to the words I say about keeping children alive and healthy.
I share what Iâve learned so that others can take the time to research, ask the harder questions, and trust their instincts before vaccinatingâthe step I wish Iâd taken (or even known to take) when it still mattered.
Happy 16th Birthday in Heaven, sweet Mason. đđ
10/22/10 â 3/5/11
It never should have been this way. đ

I'm a Board Certified anesthesiologist and have been in practice for 24 years. I just learned that the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where I trained has launched a program to increase flu vaccine uptake among children by vaccinating them while under anesthesia.
The program is called "Close your Eyes. We'll Immunize"
This is stunningly irresponsible. Here's why:
Anesthetists are extremely risk avoidant and endeavor to minimize patient exposure to anything which carries potential side effects. This is particularly true of pediatric patients who very often have never been exposed to anesthetic medications. We simply cannot know how an individual child will respond to these drugs for the first time.
Every single medication we administer during an operation can potentially trigger untoward or allergic responses. When this occurs our primary responsibility is to stabilize the patient. Our secondary responsibility is to identify the offending agent. There is absolutely no justification of introducing another agent, in this case a flu vaccine, which carries a risk of harm and contributes nothing to the success of the operation.
Some of the more common side effects of flu vaccines are fever (11-16%) and less commonly, a rash (1%). There is also an non-zero risk of severe allergic reactions and high-grade fevers which can develop over the course of minutes.
What if a child under anesthesia receives a vaccine and develops a rash and/or fever? Is it from the antibiotic that the surgeon requested? Is it from the narcotic? The anxiolytic? The barbiturate?
Anesthetic gases can also (rarely) trigger a life threatening response called Malignant Hyperthermia which commonly presents as a high fever. Without subsequent testing we cannot know which agent was responsible. Most commonly the testing is never done and the childâs record will forever reflect the possibility that some or all of the drugs which were used are responsible for their reaction. This makes future anesthetic care significantly more challenging and will require the use of alternatives which may not be necessary.
Advocating for a flu vaccine while a child is anesthetized reflects the pervasive yet inaccurate attitude among the medical establishment that vaccines are perfectly safe. I simply cannot believe that my mentors would have ever supported this initiative when I was a resident there. Close your eyes indeed.

Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data:
"If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, youâre earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, youâre making $48,000 less than an American citizen in a similar position. So Iâm sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if youâre a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldnât be in the United States of America to begin with."

.@VP: "There has been no company in the United States, unfortunately, that has abused this system more than Microsoft."
Microsoft laid off 6,000 American workers in 2025 after certifying that it could not find qualified American employees â yet the company was approved for more than 6,000 H-1Bs and filed 3,682 PERM applications, including nearly 1,000 applications for the same positions as the laid off American workers.

Close the Post Office on Election Day to customers.
Take all postal employee's and put them in sorting and delivering mailed ballots to appropriate locations with body cams and paired witnesses.
Change the Postal scanner to detect ballots, and track at the highest level in the system, like next day USPS mail item.
Publish this on the USPS website, letting us see how many ballots are 'en route'.
Pay overtime the night before election day to get as many ballots out of the mail system, save election day for the remaining trickle.

This can be fixed at a administrative level. You simply close the post office on election day, so that it's impossible for a ballot to be marked received on election Day. You dedicate election day to closed door post office processing only. Focused on ballots only. Also implement a new system with the ballots where any ballot scan immediately marks it as a valid and it goes into a special container or box. We should know exactly how many ballots are in the system still and should be making Herculean efforts to pull them out of the system and get them to the elections officials before 12:01 election day.

Marty Makary used to ambush a Virginia courthouse every other Friday.
That was the day the local tax-exempt hospital reserved the docket to sue its poorest patients.
Marty would show up at the door with a lawyer and intercept them on the way in.
They were working-class people in job uniforms, embarrassed, grim-faced, expecting to lose.
He reviewed the bills on the spot, for free, as a medical expert. Pointing out fraud, upcoding, inappropriate care, contradictions to the court.
Then his counterpart, a young lawyer named Joey Kirchgessner, argued until the hospital cried uncle.
They won A LOT.
I drove down one Friday to watch. I was working in the Trump White House at the time. I was so proud of him I could barely stand it.
That's the man the WSJ op-ed page wants you to believe is the problem.
