I dont find it funny, but I find it pretty sad you feel the need to post with these strawman arguments I never said we didnt have time for marketing I said we were bad at it. We've definitely spent way more effort marketing in the past 2 years than writing this thread 1/3

30k views (which im blown away by) does not translate in to stake Engagement came from a heart felt message that clearly resonates with the SPO community. If I had the ability to write similar messages and get that engagement from prospective delegates we wouldnt be here. 2/3

Additionally I'm not "hating on marketing" I'm calling out that it's a valid way of attracting stake and we dont have the skills. 3/3

Totally agree with this, but the fundamental problem is that small pools have to offer way more added value than large pools to get over the incentive disadvantage. Ultimately this isn't a level playing field. Established pools have a huge advantage

Potentially yes. I think if protocol enforced reward fees are vastly reduced then smaller SPOs can offer better returns and compete with the established pools - particularly if established pools maintain similar fees as they do today. 1/2

Obviously small pools that have a great mission or great marketing do become successful, it's just a harder and harder ask with rewards dropping across the board making all pools less attractive, but particularly those at the small end 2/2

People like you and @BalanceData22 give me hope that the state of play can change 🙌 I dont always agree with your views, but I feel your suggestions/analysis are always well thought out, unbiased and have sound logic.
