Okay… I was a cop for 20 years in the NYPD. I retired as a lieutenant. Here’s my take:
The islamification of the NYPD didn’t start with Mamdani, as much as I want to blame him. It started with de Blasio.
He’s the one who wanted literal boatloads of recruits from all the “-istan” countries. They came in as traffic agents and had pathways to becoming cops. We all saw it coming. There’s a Muslim officers fraternal club and Pakistani officers fraternal club that helps with the transitions.
As for the summons, it’s a bs summons (jaywalking) that I’d be ashamed to write. However, the cops’ actions towards the woman and her dog are overreach. Grabbing her and grabbing the dog leash isn’t NYPD SOP. Police work isn’t supposed to be personal, but they both made it so.
Guys with time and experience like myself are leaving the job. Good candidates are going to other departments. NYC used to be a great place to be a cop, but Democrat Socialists decided that criminals are better than cops. This is what’s left.
Elections have consequences.

He was a ticking time bomb, and New York kept handing him the keys.
The NYPD gave him a badge and a gun. Six weeks later he was out. The Marines kicked him out as psychologically unfit.
The NYPD refused to take him back. He was dragged to Bellevue after showing up at a precinct unhinged.
Then the city sent him back into an elementary school. With our kids.
Now he's charged with butchering Katie Suarez, 27, as she jogged along the Shore Parkway Greenway.
Why the hell isn't this first-degree murder? And how long before he cries insanity and walks out the door?
The real insanity is our system. Every agency saw the warning signs and ignored them. Nobody gets fired, nobody pays a price, and nobody is held accountable. Ever.
Katie paid with her life for their failures.

The teachers unions have made education such a sick joke that you can’t even FIRE a teacher who commits murder.
You have to suspend them and go through a ridiculous union-designed process before you can do that.
Only in NY: Sayed Mohassib, the 27-year old-school teacher accused of murdering a 28-year-old jogger, Katie Suarez on October 30, returned to work the Monday after the killing & was assigned to a classroom with students.
Police charged Mohassib with second-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, & weapons possession.
Before the murder, he was already on the NYPD’s radar. Police were called two years ago after his mother & sister “told cops that he threatened to chop them up.” Mohassib also served as an NYPD officer “for just a month.” About a month after leaving, he tried to get his job back “but was denied” after supervisors “noticed that he was exhibiting concerning behavior & appeared disheveled … & was acting erratically.” In lieu of employment, the NYPD sent him to Bellevue Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
A DoE spokesperson says he is suspended & “will be fired … if he’s convicted.” Lawmakers from southern Brooklyn, state Sen. Andrew Gounardes & Assemblymember-elect Chris McCreight, say the revelation “raises serious questions about how he came to be employed in a local public school” & warrants “a full investigation” of his “hiring & continued employment.”
Mohassib is an ex-Marine discharged on psychiatric grounds.
If Mohassib passed the Dept. of Education’s background screening, who else has?
