Introducing Connectors: a new way for apps to communicate with Epic.
Developers can soon build Connectors that bring information from other apps into Epic, like pulling arrival time from an ambulance app so the ED can prepare without switching between apps.
Just like the number of Mike & Ike flavors, Kit is expanding.
In November 2026, Kit’s supported column set is growing by 3.5X, giving developers more data types to run bulk analytics.
The Clarity data model is now available for license.
Developers interested in bulk data exchange now have a new option, opening another path for working with population-level data alongside Kit and Bulk FHIR, which remain available. #OpenatEpic
Connectors will work with Emmie, Art (Epic AI for clinicians), and Penny (Epic AI for revenue cycle and operational teams). They will also work with custom AI that healthcare organizations create in Agent Factory.
Healthcare organizations will be able to find developer-created Connectors on Epic Showroom starting in March 2027. Before enabling a Connector, they’ll be able to review what it can do, what information it can read, and what it can change.

Introducing Prescription Marketplace, where patients and clinicians will be able to compare prices and pickup/delivery options from different pharmacies so they can make more informed decisions and save money.
A new API will introduce cash prices — what a pharmacy charges someone paying without insurance — alongside insurance-based prices. While clinicians can already see what a medication will cost under the patient’s insurance in Epic along with certain lower-cost alternatives, this opens up options that can be cheaper and more convenient for patients.
It also helps physicians keep their patients safe. Health systems will be notified when the patient fills their prescription and if a script goes unfilled for too long.
More information will be shared next week during Open@Epic.
