This week, in lesson 4 for our first ever cohort of students, we tackle a BIG one. Media relations.
We cover everything from reactive PR/newsjacking, release writing, identifying relevant journalists, perfect pitches, follow ups, crisis comms, media relationships and more.

ALT A screen grab from week 4's lesson of the High Flyers PR Course - all about media relations. It's a big one - the longest video lesson yet - but that's because there's so much content to get through. The screen grab is of presenter Rich talking through what makes something 'newsworthy', including timeliness, geographical relevance, if it has a well-known touchpoint - e.g. a celebrity, if there's a human interest element and if you'd talk about it with your friends
In this week's lesson, 'Lesson 3: 'Planning a PR campaign', our students have been learning how to, er, plan PR campaigns.
Fact: Did you know that while 80% of brands think they are good at writing briefs only 10% of creative agency professionals agree? (Source: @Better_Briefs)

I'm coming at this with my agency hat on, with 15 years in PR and 8 running an agency (in what feels like the toughest market I've experienced, heading into a new year), AND my take on how PRs can be at the top of their learning game with my @highflyersPR hat on, too.
Join us!
This is looking like a busy one, with ~150+ booked on!
Tomorrow, we're speaking with @propelmypr (5pm UK-time, 9am PT, 5pm ET) - talking all things PR as we head into 2023.
From the PR market right now to what journos want, don't miss out. It's freeee: events.propelmypr.com/how-to…
Lesson 2 this week: 'The benefits of PR'. In talks with agency owners, this one came up often.
From what a brand IS to how we can help in a crisis, our students have been learning how PR is valuable, and, importantly, just how to talk to current and potential clients about it.
Today's the day - lesson 1 is LIVE and our first ever student cohort from some of the top agencies in the UK and beyond are already getting to know each other.
If you're feeling left out, there's still time to sign up and join them - head over to highflyersPRcourse.com
