According to Dhoni fans, Dhoni is not just a great captain but also a great batsman as well. So why don't you guys demand to your franchise to make Dhoni open the innings or bat at No. 3? At least the fans would get to watch him bat, and all the doubts would be cleared as well. Just make him bat up the order for two matches. If he doesn't start doing Bharatanatyam against the new ball, you can change my name. Dhoni fans have created this whole narrative that Dhoni sacrificed his No. 3 and No. 4 positions for others. But in reality, even Dhoni knew his own limitations. With that technique, batting up the order for a long period was never going to be easy for him. Coming in lower down and smashing a couple of shots against an old ball is a completely different thing.
