“St. Dominic had no share in those [violent] transactions, and made use of no other arms to repulse injuries than those of meekness and patience. He never complained of any affronts or evils which he received, courageosuly encountered every danger wherever the good of souls called him, being desirous to glorify God by shedding his blood in his cause if called to such a happiness, and he studied only to procure all the good in his power to those who hated and persecuted him.”

Whoa! As @PadrePalma commented on the Italian-language version of Leo's tweet, here we have "More heresies from Leo XIV. The English and Italian version of this post don’t mention that the souls in Purgatory (which he doesn’t mention at all either) need our prayers because they are suffering on account of the temporal punishment due to their sins. Secondly, he says that they pray too, and that is at least very misleading, since they precisely can’t pray for themselves, they need us. Thirdly he oddly distinguishes between the blessed who see the face of God and those who are in heaven. Fourthly, the post contains a true heresy as it says that those souls who are already in heaven are still on their way to attain their destination, which he calls it 'radiant' or 'luminosa'. On the contrary, the traditional Catholic teaching is that the Blessed in heaven already attained their destination. Pope Benedict XII in 1336 defined this doctrine in his edict 'Benedictus Deus' (see DZ 530). Finally Leo XIV’s post echoes Teillard de Chardin’s heretical 'theology' on the 'Cosmic Christ'."
When we pray for the dead, we do so not only for them, but also with them, drawn into a reciprocal relationship that the Holy Spirit brings to life in our hearts. The Church is a mystery of communion between Christ, our head, and us, His members: from Him we receive life. This communion unites the blessed souls who already contemplate the face of God and all those who, in heaven or on earth, are journeying toward the radiant destination.

St. Charles Borromeo was exponentially more based than many of us who are so sensitive that some are unashamedly trigger-happy with the blocking of people online who give even the slightest criticism or pushback. May St. Charles pray that many holy priests may be among us.

Lefebvrists (Society of St. Pius X or SSPX) release documentary on their unauthorized episcopal consecrations: youtube.com/watch?v=o4jD1Ln1… We suspect it won't feature Pope Pius IX's encyclical Quartus Supra (1873), in which he denounces schismatics in Armenia for their specious arguments: "They argue that the sentence of schism and excommunication pronounced against them ... was unjust, and consequently void of strength and influence. They have claimed also that they are unable to accept the sentence because the faithful might desert to the heretics if deprived of their ministration."

Meanwhile, the Roman Catholic Church teaches: "If anyone says that the ceremonies, vestments, and outward signs, which the Catholic Church uses in the celebration of Masses, are incentives to impiety rather than the services of piety: let him be anathema" (Council of Trent, Session 22, Canon 7; Denz. 954).
I'd like to thank Bp. Beckman of @knoxdiocese for making it clear what the @SSPXEN teaches so I can more formally adhere to it.

Rev. John Zuhlsdorf: "Teachings are magisterial when they are formulated in propositional form (not in weasel words) and do not contradict the Deposit of Faith" - wdtprs.com/2026/10/are-thing… Ah, but where is the "do not contradict the Deposit of Faith" stipulation mentioned? In what magisterial document? In what theological manual? Nowhere, of course, because that would imply that they COULD contradict the Deposit of Faith, which is absurd; and it would also mean that papal teaching first has to be examined by the Pope's inferiors to ensure it's not heretical, as if the rest of the Church were the Pope's censors.

The Vatican II Sect cannot escape the absurdity of its own position. So there they are preaching about inclusion, synodality, and giving everyone a voice - and then they impose silence on a particular cleric. Funny how that works.
Is Fr. Ripperger’s silencing by the Conciliar Church a sign conservatives are on the chopping block?

In a speech given on Oct. 7, 2026, Vatican interreligious dicastery head honcho 'Cardinal' George Koovakad made a frightfully explosive statement: “With these words [of Leo XIV in Magnifica Humanitas, n. 223], the 27th of October, 1986 [Assisi interreligious prayer meeting], becomes part of the ordinary teaching of the Magisterium. It is no longer merely an event to be remembered: It is a criterion through which to interpret the present.” novusordowatch.org/2026/10/l… Full text (Italian) here: antonianum.eu/wp-content/upl…

If you don't have any care for theological accuracy, then you have a duty to refrain from discussing theology publicly. You just agreed here with him that the technical terms are a bunch of "bs". Those terms are technical for a reason. They are technical to uphold Revelation.

Again this is quite ridiculous to say in the context of 2267 by @sitsio in response to @NickTCavazos
"But inadmissible is not necessarily synonymous with intrinsically evil."
Because the reason it is inadmissible it because it is an attack on the intrinsic moral nature of man which according to the Magisterium he cannot lose (Dignitas Infinita).
Thus the intrinsic moral nature is always present.
And thus the death penalty is alway an attack on that nature.
This necessarily means that the death penalty inadmissible in all cases.
Therefore, 2267 does teaching that thr death penalty is intrinsically evil because it is inadmissible in all cases.

Here's the actual quote:
"Christ committed adultery first of all with the woman at the well about whom St John tells us. Was not everybody about him saying: 'Whatever has he been doing with her?' Secondly, with Mary magdalene, and thirdly with the woman taking an adultery whom He dismissed so lightly. Thus even Christ, who was so righteous, must have been guilty of fornication before He died."
