Me and @HomeStage4 here, and we have some news to share with you all. It brings us great sadness to say that our remote-working roles at Home Stage have been made redundant and we are going to be leaving the company.

‘Honey’ is a delicately beautiful song that plays on the idea of “you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.” An’s use of a post-apocalyptic scenario highlights the fragility of the natural world and she encourages you to come to terms with the possibility of losing it.

Written in 1972, it was unprecedented for its time, originating in an era when the terms ‘climate change’ and ‘global warming’ didn’t yet exist. Over 50 years after its creation the song’s theme of regret is more potent than ever. This truly is a song that passes the rest of time

They wrote this song after they observed parallels between bird-life and human-life. They noticed an unbalanced relationship between the two, with birds being forced to adapt to a world designed by human convenience. They question how we treat the natural world surrounding us.
