#1. How would you assess your overall personal improvements this season?
A.This season, I made significant improvements both physically and mentally. In the weight room, I focused on getting stronger, and I saw that translate to my performance on the field. As the only returning varsity lineman, I also took on a larger leadership role. I helped guide the upcoming linemen, shared my experience, and tried to lead by example every day in practice and games. Those experiences helped me grow not only as an athlete but also as a teammate and leader.
#2. What part of your game still needs improvement ahead of the postseason tournament?
A.The biggest areas of my game that still need improvement are my footwork and communication. As a lineman, good footwork is critical, and I'm continuing to work on being quicker and more efficient with my movements. I also want to keep improving my communication with my teammates so we're all on the same page before and during plays. Focusing on those areas will help me contribute even more during the postseason.
#3. What are the remaining personal and team goals for the balance of this season?
A.Our biggest team goal for the rest of the season is to go as far as possible in the postseason and win a sectional title. We've faced some adversity this year, but we've continued to stay together and work through it as a team. Personally, my goal is to do everything I can to help lead and push my teammates toward that sectional championship. If we can overcome the challenges we've faced and achieve that goal together, I would consider that a huge success for our season.

Centerville continues to heat up ahead of the post season as the Bulldogs won their third straight, beating ECC foe New Castle 41-35
Q&A with Centerville HC Ryan Cole
Q1
What was the key to your final outcome of Friday night's ballgame?
Coming into the game, we felt that our execution offensively had to be at a high level and defensively we needed to take away their RPOs and explosive verticals in their pass game. We felt good about our preparation going into the week and offensively we came out and made big plays throughout the night. We had a few turnovers that were uncharacteristic and allowed them to hang around but our run game was outstanding with over 300 yards on the ground. The OFFENSIVE LINE (Cameron Scalzo, Cohen Pierce, Jax Morales, Sawyer Murray and Brice Spears) did a great job controlling the line of scrimmage and helping lead us to 444 total yards on offense. Defensively, we came up with multiple stops on 4th down that proved to be huge in the outcome of this game. Our defensive staff led by Defensive Coordinator, Briendle Fletcher, deserve a lot of credit with how they prepare our guys each week!
Q2
Who were your Top Performers who excelled with their individual performance and contributions?
OFFENSE
Jace Hollendonner: 10/18, 154 yards passing, 3 Touchdowns + 12 rushes for 154 yards and 2 Touchdowns (308 total yards and 5 TDS)
Hunter Sonntag: 19 rush, 97 yards + 3 catches, 37 yards and 1 Touchdown
Kyle Dickenson: 6 catches, 110 yards and 2 Touchdowns
DEFENSE
Carson Henry: 17 total tackles (5 solos, 12 assists) + 1 Fumble Recovery
Clark Thornburg: 11 total tackles
Davis Pentecost: 7 tackles, 1 Sack
Roger Gipson: 6 tackles, 1 Sack
Maclane Henry: 2 Tackles for Loss
Q3
What will be your primary focus in practice this coming week as you prep for your next opponent?
Our primary focus every week is to continue to get better one day at a time. We are preparing for 5A Greenfield Central and are excited for the challenge to wrap up the regular season. Our goal with joining the ECC and scheduling Greenfield Central was to be battle tested heading into the postseason. It was important for us to be challenged every week so we would be at our best heading into sectionals.
