So, finally got down to the problem. Only a small piece of the wear plate left. It’s been metal on metal for some time. I’m glad I pulled this all apart. Now the question is will John Deere have parts? I guess I’ll find out tomorrow.

So all you macdon people, everyone said buy macdon, I had honeybee nxt headers, traded them for 2 fd245, first day reel busts on a little wad of peas . Is this a common occurrence under tough conditions ?
