💔 How much more cruelty must these voiceless souls endure? In Rampura, Tri Nagar, Delhi, a helpless community dog was reportedly brutally beaten with iron rods by a group of people on 26 October. Imagine the terror, the unbearable pain and the helplessness of an innocent animal who couldn't even defend himself. 💔 What kind of humanity allows people to gather and mercilessly attack a voiceless soul? Today, it's an innocent dog. Tomorrow, who will become the victim of such mob violence? This cruelty must never be normalised. We urge @DelhiPolice @CPDelhi @gupta_rekha to investigate immediately, identify those responsible and take strict legal action under applicable laws. 💔 IN MEMORY OF JESSE ADAMS — A TRUE HERO FOR ANIMALS 💔 It is with enormous sadness that we have learned of the tragic death of Jesse Adams, founder of RainCoast Dog Rescue Society in Canada, who lost his life while carrying out an animal rescue mission in one of the most dangerous areas of Ukraine. Jesse dedicated his life to saving animals, even when it meant putting his own life at risk. We first came to know Jesse in 2021, when Afghanistan fell to the Taliban. Jesse and RainCoast were among the extraordinary organisations that came together to assist KSAR with the evacuation of 285 cats and dogs, helping many find loving forever homes. Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Jesse travelled to the border to help fleeing families and their pets, providing veterinary care, supplies and assistance getting animals to safety. He returned repeatedly, undertaking increasingly dangerous missions. Most recently, Jesse worked alongside Animal Rescue Kharkiv, rescuing hundreds of animals from devastated frontline communities under constant threat from drones, missiles and artillery. These were extraordinary acts of compassion and courage in the face of unimaginable danger. Jesse knew the risks. He knew every mission could be his last. Yet he continued because he believed animals caught in conflict deserved protection just as much as those living in peace. Those of us working in animal rescue in conflict zones understand and accept these risks. But few possess the courage to repeatedly travel towards danger when everyone else is trying to escape it. Jesse was one of those very special people. His death is a devastating loss to his family, friends, RainCoast and the international animal rescue community. Our hearts go out to everyone who knew and loved him, particularly the Ukrainian rescuers who worked alongside him. His legacy lives on in every animal he saved and every rescuer he inspired. Rest in peace, Jesse. During a search of a property in Dong Nai on 8 October, authorities discovered 21 dead dogs, along with 32 slaughtered dogs and 57 slaughtered cats, weighing nearly 900 kg in total. According to the initial investigation, the group allegedly used cars and electric-shock devices to steal dogs before processing and selling them. Police also identified four regular buyers in Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh and Hanoi. Transaction records showed transfers totalling more than VND 860 million, corresponding to an estimated quantity of over 10 tonnes of dog meat. On 18 October, authorities announced the prosecution and pre-trial detention of five additional individuals linked to the network. The investigation remains ongoing. 🚨 ONE TO WATCH - BLUEGEONED DOG TO DEATH WITH A SAUCEPAN 🚨 JORDANNA LEIGH WHEELER 🌎 LOUGHOR, SWANSEA Jordanna Leigh Wheeler bludgeoned her dog, Anubis, to death with a saucepan after returning home drunk from a party. She later told hospital staff she had woken up covered in vomit and discovered she had “battered him to death”. Police found the large brown Mastiff dead on his bed. A severely deformed saucepan bearing dog hair was also recovered. Wheeler was originally given a suspended prison sentence and a 10-year ban on keeping animals, but she repeatedly breached her curfew, skipped rehabilitation sessions and missed probation appointments. She also admitted leaving home to visit pubs and parks and take cocaine. Last week (March 2026), Judge Geraint Walters activated the suspended sentence, jailing her for 12 months, with up to half to be served in custody and the remainder on licence. Anubis suffered a horrific death. Wheeler was put behind bards, but only after repeatedly breaching the order imposed following his killing. Source UKACF.
