A new PHP vulnerability is in the news. We tested it on our live servers: it can’t be used to take over sites hosted with us, WordPress included.
PHP has released a fix, and we’re applying it across all hosting today anyway. No action needed on your side.
🤖 Xiaomi just released MiMo V2.6, a new open-source AI model that's natively multimodal and genuinely competitive with models like Claude Opus 5 on agentic benchmarks. It's already integrated with Hermes Agent and works with OpenClaw too.
Update: On October 23, 2026, the PHP project announced a new vulnerability (CVE-2026-115560). PHP will include the fix in its next regular release.
Every Hostinger hosting plan except VPS is already protected by the mitigation applied on October 21. No action is needed. We will install PHP's fix once it is released.
VPS clients manage PHP themselves. If your VPS runs PHP, set session.upload_progress.enabled=0 in php.ini and restart PHP. If you already did this on October 21, you don't need to do anything else. Check Guide: hostinger.com/blog/protectin…

Node.js released version 24.22.1, which fixes 7 security vulnerabilities. We're installing the patched versions on our hosting platform so your app is protected. Node.js 22 and 24 are being updated first. Node.js 20 and 18 will follow once their patches are available.
Our security team looked closely at the most serious of the fixed issues (CVE-2026-111497, a bug in how Node.js unpacks Brotli-compressed data). It can't be triggered by visitors coming to your website, there's no known exploit in the wild, and we've added extra protection on our side as a precaution.
If you’re on Hostinger hosting plans, nothing for you to do: no rebuild, no re-upload. After the update, we’ll restart your Node.js app so it runs the patched version. VPS users who run Node.js should update themselves

Update: the PHP fix is now live across all managed hosting.
Some sites may still show PHP 8.5.11 rather than 8.5.12, and that’s expected. The fix went into the version your site already runs, so the version number stays the same.
The "Build Date" is what confirms the fix. Open PHP Info from Hostinger dashboard → Websites → Dashboard, and if it shows Oct 21, 2026 or later, you’re covered. No action needed on your side.
Update: We’ve published a full blog post explaining how we protected our customers, the details of the vulnerabilities, and how to update PHP on VPS and self-managed servers hostinger.com/blog/protectin…

Update 11:42 UTC: A fix has been applied, and Hostinger Dashboard, the service API, Website Builder, Agent and checkout are available again. Some actions may load slower than usual while recovery completes. Websites hosted with Hostinger were not affected. We will monitor the services for the next 60 minutes and post an update once full recovery is confirmed. We're sorry for the disruption this may have caused.

Vibe coding can build your app. But can it tell you if your app is actually good? 👀
AI makes building incredibly fast, but security, scalability, and knowing what’s safe to ship still require judgment.
