🚨 CFR INVESTIGATES | JB PRITZKER, THE FBI WIRETAP & THE BLACK DEMOCRATIC VOTE CHICAGO FLIPS RED (CFR) CHICAGO, IL — November 1, 2026 Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has spent years presenting himself as an ally of Black communities. But his own words, captured on an FBI wiretap, tell a different story. On November 14, 2008, during an FBI-recorded conversation with then-Governor Rod Blagojevich, Pritzker referred to former Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White as the “least offensive” African American while discussing who should replace Barack Obama in the U.S. Senate. Pritzker also suggested that appointing White would address the political need for African American representation. The recordings resurfaced during Pritzker’s 2018 gubernatorial campaign, forcing him to publicly apologize. But Chicago Flips Red (CFR) is asking a much bigger question: Has JB Pritzker used his wealth, political contributions, and relationships with Black Democratic leadership to maintain political loyalty while Black communities continue to struggle? CFR founder Zoe Leigh believes Pritzker’s recorded remarks exposed how Black political representation was discussed behind closed doors. “Because he calls himself a Democrat, the ‘vote blue no matter who’ negro continues giving him a pass. They allow him to stand in Black churches and preach to the same communities I believe his policies continue to fail. “After more than 60 years of Democratic political promises, our communities are still dealing with poverty, violence, failing schools, homelessness, and economic disinvestment. “And any Black Democratic politician standing beside JB Pritzker while refusing to hold him accountable needs to explain whose interests they’re actually representing.” Chicago Flips Red believes Black voters should question the relationships between wealthy political donors, elected officials, religious leaders, nonprofit organizations, and government-funded programs. Political contributions and government grants are not themselves evidence of wrongdoing. However, CFR believes taxpayers deserve transparency about who receives public money, how that money is spent, and whether the intended communities benefit. Black voters deserve more than campaign appearances, church speeches, political handouts, and promises every election cycle. They deserve accountability, economic opportunity, safe neighborhoods, quality education, and elected officials who represent their interests. For CFR, the issue is bigger than one governor or one political party. October 30, 2026 | Chicago, Illinois Chicago Flips Red is raising serious questions about Mayor Brandon Johnson’s administration, Acclivus, Inc., and the organized support for Community Violence Intervention (CVI) funding during the FY2027 budget hearings. CFR has received a copy of letter that individuals associated with Acclivus were encouraged to attend City Hall on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, with prepared talking points supporting the mayor’s budget. The script included: 1. “We support the Mayor’s budget and the sustained investment in Community Violence Intervention in partnership with the Department of Public Health, which has been proven to save lives and improve community well-being, which benefits all Chicagoans.” 2. “We support taxing the rich to pay for this, we know that families are struggling in the current economy and we feel that the corporations should pay their fair share to support safety and justice for this great city.” BUT CFR HAS QUESTIONS! According to CVI worker ( who hasn’t been paid ) shared with CFR, approximately 50 days earlier, individuals connected to CVI organizations were warned that their funding could be cut if they did not support Mayor Johnson’s political efforts, including his reelection campaign. CFR has also received an allegation that LeVon Stone told individuals they had to support Johnson or walk away. NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT REDCap! REDCap stands for Research Electronic Data Capture. CVI organizations may use this system to record outreach activities, referrals, services, and program outcomes. But who verifies the information being entered? Who independently audits the reported shootings, interventions, and program outcomes? And how does the City of Chicago determine whether taxpayer-funded CVI programs are actually reducing violence? REDCap does not independently verify the accuracy of information entered by participating organizations. CFR questions whether the data submitted by CVI organizations accurately reflects their work and the violence occurring in Chicago. Any allegations of inaccurate reporting should be examined through an independent audit.
