my discord bot (pi-backed) had a broken reload tool, got sent to investigate, then messaged another one of my agents to check its theory from the other side two clankers comparing notes across projects, found a startup race, fixed it, reloaded itself both running terra astra never spotted this race btw

very weird thing happening rn technical people are sad, they think their skills are now useless non-technical people are desperately wishing they were more technical so they could use agents better

I keep telling everyone, Google is far from done. Never underestimate the big guns. Admit it, y'all did so with Meta.
Introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, it's a big jump over Argon which we released just 2 weeks ago. Gemini 4 Carbon is SOTA on cyber, long horizon tasks, ranks #1 on Artificial Analysis V5, significantly improves on usability in domains like coding, and is more aligned.

Nobody warns vibe coders about this part. You can ship an app in a weekend. You can also break 6 laws in that same weekend without knowing it. Here's what to check before you launch: 1.) Kids If signup doesn't ask for age and a child under 13 joins, COPPA fines can reach $53K per child. 2.) Fonts Loading Google Fonts from Google's servers sends visitor IPs to Google. A Munich court ordered a site to pay one visitor €100 for this under GDPR. 3.) Session replay Recording what users type without consent can count as wiretapping under California's CIPA, at up to $5K per violation. 4.) Launch emails No unsubscribe link or postal address breaks CAN-SPAM, at up to $53K per email. 5.) Subscriptions If renewal terms aren't right next to the button, California can treat renewals as unconditional gifts you have to refund. 6.) User uploads Without a registered DMCA agent, which costs $6, you lose safe harbor. Statutory damages can reach $150K per willfully infringed work. None of these cost much to fix. All of them cost a lot to ignore. Paste this into Claude before launch: "Check my app for: missing age gate, externally loaded fonts, session replay without consent, marketing emails without unsubscribe and address, renewal terms not beside the subscribe button and no DMCA agent. Fix what you can and list what I need to do myself." Not legal advice. Talk to a lawyer for your situation.

I can now get my @bot to wake, do something and reply when a wake word appears in my whatsapp chat. Depending on whether I mentioned it or someone else, it will either just reply or do something and reply :D wacli+webhooks+watcher Now all I need is the ability to wake the main bot via webhook, not have it always spawn goldfish-memory-subagents with no continuity... @poteto poteto poteto - this would be SO useful for many things. Just a tiny toggle between main and background conversation

I'm starting to sense a divide in the tech industry: - People thriving on autonomy who are reinventing how they work and what tools they use with AI: LOTS of work, but they're enjoying it and getting very efficient - People used to being mentored / trained / or simply told what to do and how. Frustrated with the lack of guidance from management on what to do with AI; also frustrated by seeing some of their peers thriving; increasingly bitter about AI and the state of the industry, as a whole Neither group seems to be aware that there's another group, or have empathy for the other group

SpaceXSI : Grok Bot has been updated to version 1.0.0 Direct download links are in the reply below. The public download page has not switched to this version yet. Here are some of the new things they added: 💬 Messages and email 📧 Mail setup now asks separately to open emails and to press Send. 👥 Sharing and teams 🤝 A Shared Bots section lists bots others have shared with you. 🤖 Team bots can be given their own account or share yours. 🔌 Connectors ⚠️ Plugins can tell you they are not on your account yet. 💳 Payments and orders ✈️ Flight checkout uses a Book on [airline] call to action and title-case labels for Multi-city and Round trip. Here are some things they have been working on but have not rolled out yet: • Find, read, and save notes in a local Obsidian vault after you pick the vault folder on this Mac. Some other things that were worked on since the last update: • Search tells you to try a different query when a lookup does not work. Note: These changes may or may not be available in this release. Based on unofficial 3rd-party SI analysis of prerelease builds. The official changelog does not list 1.0.0. For the official changelog see here: x.ai/changelog/bot

Seriously WTAF. It's really weird how close we are. And it will only get closer. slopeisley.com/ @jasonkneen I did laugh at left hand holding the pistol on the RHS of the screen :D Although I might be a bit racist, maybe it's an alien holding it :D

Guess what this @omarchy theme is called. The funniest part is that GPT just recited the colour hashes for it without even looking them up.

Code-execution flaw in UEFI firmware threatens most servers on planet Earth arstechnica.com/security/202…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The vulnerability (CVE-2026-97631) only affects systems actively PXE network-booting using vulnerable EDK2 firmware; it requires sending malicious ICMP packets during that window and does not impact systems booting from local disks or with PXE disabled. github.com/tianocore/edk2… arstechnica.com/security/2026/…

Never let Claude run wild on the privacy policy or legal pages on your website. Opus 5.5, and other Claude models in general, are so knee deep into moral policing it can genuinely land you in hot water. > it will get way too specific about how your work happens internally > it will add promises and guarantees you didn’t want enforced > it went as far as adding my name in the policy page > it listed out all the third party tools that we have integrated too, basically showing our entire stack It is built to write from the customer side by default, it said so when I pressed it. Just be careful.
