100% We built an agency management system (Agency OS) that runs all of Sightbox. It's beautiful because we're designers but unnecessarily. Why? We only use it via MCP. This means our agents can manage our: CRM Contacts Deals Proposals Contracts Notes Projects Invoices Billing And much more... This is the future.

A wise mentor once told me: “Never bring a problem without a point of view.” You don’t need to have all the answers, but you should care enough to think before asking someone else to think for you.

My hottest take is that brand marketing is going to be THE major differentiator and one of the most prized assets for a company going forward. And, I’m not talking about launch videos or pouring money primarily for “aesthetics” simply to pump the valuation. You still need retention before attention. I’m talking about thinking through what a company stands for and understanding the “vibe” of what’s happening in the market. Being relentless on the long term goal while also thinking through how to showcase the company in the short term. And doing it every week. Especially if you think agents become the primary user for most products, then to get the attention of a rapidly attention deficit audience (aka humans) you’ll need to stand out consistently in how you present the company. These folks primary have been given tier 2 roles and passed up for CMOs many many times. I think this will finally invert in the next 10 years where you’ll hire these folks as cofounders or at least give them a big seat at the table. Normally the design centric CEO tends to be this, but those are rare and you’ll need to learn how to hire for this role. Just like a good product marketer, these are exceptionally rare so you have one hold them close!!

"Welcome to my latest experiment. This is the big one, the one I've been waiting for all my life!"
Where the web is going, it doesn't need roads. It needs structure. Introducing Beacon: the structured presence layer that makes your company legible to AI agents. The agents are already here. They read your site, form an opinion, and make recommendations before a human ever opens a tab. Beacon is how you make sure they read you right. The agent layer just got its foundation. Scan your site, free. sightbox.co/beacon

Fable isn't the first. In 1999 the department of defense blocked exports of the PowerMac G4 for crossing the 1 gigaflop threshold. Steve Jobs turned it into an ad.

This is really big news. Google introduced the Open Knowledge Format (OKF) - a standardized way to store information in a directory of markdown files. Makes it really easy to make a digital brain that agents can use. These files can serve as a living wiki. You can give agents the ability to query them or edit them. They can interlink. Seems to me this could replace Notion or Obsidian. I can think of so many uses for this. Google's blog post: cloud.google.com/blog/produc… An easier to understand explanation is the SPEC.md file: github.com/GoogleCloudPlatfo… I gave those two links to Antigravity and asked how we could use it for any of the projects we're working on. It came up with so many ideas. I would imagine Claude Fable 5 would whip up some pretty amazing things based on this system. Currently creating an OKF library of our pepper garden. It's going to be a fun weekend.

Time for beacons.
AI search is exploding, creating a massive blind spot for website traffic. While clicks are shifting, visibility shouldn't ✖️ GA is introducing automated AI Assistant traffic measurement. Track & trend human traffic from top chatbots directly in reports → goo.gle/43rpCMw

This is fine of Google to do this but a majority of the crawled sites out there are not only NOT visible to agents but they're actively blocking them. In comes "Beacon"...
Big news: Google is rolling out AI performance reports in search console. You'll now be able to see how your site performs inside AI overviews and AI mode. The new reports show: - Impressions from generative AI features - Top pages cited by AI Search - Device and country breakdowns - Trends over time It doesn't show clicks or queries yet but this is a great first step. It’s rolling out first to a subset of UK sites (global expansion coming). There's also a new test toggle that lets you block your content from AI responses without hurting regular search rankings. This is huge for anyone optimizing for AI search
