I love creating. When my mind is free and inspired I make beautiful things, or deep things, sometimes both; and they all come from truth, be it my own, or of those I work with. Never in my 12 years have I created with the intention of selling…
But having your work collected is even more important now that we are all bound to this great invention, Ethereum. So I’m making a promise to myself to do better and share more of my work, so that collectors can learn more of what is beyond the obvious memes, at the root and spark of my creation. Every community needs money to keep it running.
Over the years, I've seen many marketplaces here shut down; MakersPlace, Foundation, FormFunction, ExchangeArt, Nifty Gateway etc. And these have mostly been down to financing/money issues.
6529, has a website, a very compact one at that, as well as mobile apps for both IOS and andriod. These require money to run as the developers building them will certainly need to get paid. Besides those, 6529 also has an IRL gallery, @Casa_NUA, thanks to the efforts of @HugoFaz and all other contributors who have made it happens and continue to give out of their pockets to keep it running. CasaNua exhibits artworks from artists whose works have been minted into the 6529 Collection and is always open for visitors to come in and enjoy art. These things need money to run. And 50% of primary sales might be much, but a fair contribution to a system that continues to put back money into the wallets of artists. Honestly, I don't see how any of this isn't artists first so far in my time being there.

No access isn't gated, it is open for anyone to join, contribute, interact and share. Seriously, nothing is gated.

I don't really understand what you mean, but I'd take it you're trying to argue the impact of influence by those with money to spend, on the system.
From my observation and my few months there, seriously, influence flows in a multidirectional manner. I'm not a widely known artist here or there, but my presence here or there is seen and that was all I need to get the submission points and the votes on my cards I have today. I can assure you there are prettu much lots of influencial people there who have cards on the leaderboard since last year that are still gradually climbing. If influence followed pockets, then I suppose those people who have had their cards minted by now.

Marfa Airplane Thoughts:
I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting artists over the last four years since joining the space.
Zero percent chance I would have done that if it wasn’t for 6529 network and the likeminded people that are constantly discussing art and our deep belief in the success of NFTs.
Collect what you want, where you want, and how you want. Freedom to Transact.
However, we should be constantly thinking about how to move from PvP to P^P. Celebrate those that are still building, still creating, still collecting.
If you don’t like an approach, then you certainly don’t have to participate. However, if you care about the success of the space and you care about its future… please critique with the intent of helping the builders make things better.
I am very proud of all of those that continue to build our collective future and those that work to understand and make things better.
We are going to make it because of exactly this. Drown out the noise, keep bettering yourself/the space and we will attract more amazing people to join this movement.
Anyways catch yall in Marfa! Can’t wait to meet even more remarkable people.

In 2008, I watched the Moon rise behind Pedra do Baú, a mountain formation in Brazil. I knew I wanted to photograph that alignment, but it would take me years to get it right.
Every month, the Moon rose in a different position. I kept returning, studying the movement of the sky, trying to understand when the landscape and the Moon would finally meet exactly as I had imagined.
In 2019, I calculated the date using an astronomical planning app. The moment would come in September 2020.
Then I forgot about it.
In the middle of the pandemic, my phone alarm went off: “Moon.” I rushed to pack my gear and drove out to photograph it.
Moonrise Kingdom is the result of years of observation, astronomical research, planning and waiting for a very specific moment that could not be recreated at will.
This is also why my work takes time, and why I price it accordingly. Each photograph represents a process that often begins years before the shutter is released.

A meaningful moment for crypto art, and one I’m proud to be part of.
The 6529 Network Museum has acquired Chromie Squiggle #6529, and my art was selected by the community to become The Memes #550.
The community voted for the artwork, and the Meme Card initiative helped support the acquisition, alongside contributions from @MadaCollects .
I’ve been exploring Chromie Squiggles through photography and light painting for years. When this opportunity came up, I reached out to Hugo at Casa NUA, and we brought an idea I’d had for a long time to life in the perfect space.
