“Our churches, Christianity—it's all gone.”
I'm seriously in shock. I don't know what just happened in my country. What I know is that our children are no longer safe. Our borders are gonna be wide open. We're gonna have a state income tax. Our churches, Christianity—it's all gone. And let's not even talk about public education. What did we just do?

Texas does not have and has no concrete plan for a state income tax. Its constitution prohibits the legislature from imposing one on individuals, requiring a two-thirds vote in both chambers plus voter approval to change; winning candidates have stated opposition.

When I was very young I stuck my hand into a bonfire just because. I screamed and writhed in agony. The pain was so intense it caused me to hallucinate and through tears I saw Miss Piggy stalking me from the shadows. It haunted me to my very core. I screamed until I passed out

I haven't said anything about the current situation here as anything I would want to say echoes what others have already mentioned. But I want to make sure folks know where I stand on the entire situation:
I feel heartbroken and frustrated. Not only by how this situation started, but how it has escalated and so far been handled by DBD. All we have been given is a post (not even on the main account) with words that mean little.
I don't understand how someone can go on the offical DBD Twitch account, at home, out of work hours, potenially under the influence and "collab" with a creator without prior authorisation, not to mention the creator involved/the fan base they enable. Their flippant response to this entire situation shows how meaningless that "collab' was to them as it's just another meme for them to use for content.
Something so small to that creator has left an entire community distraught over the weekend, getting all kinds of comments, slurs & threats on their socials, DMs and streams... ALL because of one decision made by one employee.
How can you build a community over the last 10 years that stands for equality, representation and acceptance... to just lose all that confidence with one decision? Is this what your company stands for or is this just one rogue employee who has taken advantage of their position?
my gf knows a community manager for another game and they say their #1 policy is vetting whoever they collab or even just chat on the main account with to make sure they mesh with the existing community. bhvr is either incompetent or that community manager shouldn’t have that job
