Everyone is calling it a fake GIWA chain. I pulled the bytecode. It was not fake. The "fake bridge" is 22,210 bytes of genuine, unmodified OptimismPortal code sitting behind a standard proxy. Real deposit function. Real withdrawal logic. Ask it a diagnostic question and it answers exactly like a freshly launched portal, because that is what it is. Behind it they ran an actual op reth node producing blocks, and a real sequencer posting blob batches to Ethereum every 4 minutes. 203 transactions worth. They did not forge Optimism. They deployed it. So every check anyone actually runs came back clean. Right chain ID. Real client. Real contracts. Real sequencer. The dev who said "it looks legit" was not being lazy. He ran the normal checks and the normal checks passed. $2.07M turned on one question nobody asked. Not "is this a real bridge," but "is this GIWA's bridge." GIWA answered that for free, in their own docs, before any of it happened: 🚧 GIWA Mainnet is currently under development. Zero mainnet contracts published. Thirty seconds of reading.
