โCoven Academyโ Cast Shares How Supernatural Series Pushes the Boundaries for a New Era of YA on Disney (Exclusive) people.com/coven-academy-casโฆ

My #CovenAcademy spoiler-free thoughts:
If you love the shows from the days of CW/WB yore, this is it. Think #SecretCircle, #Charmed. Itโs darker and edgier than anything you have seen from #Disney. The tone is perfect, the cinematography is gorgeous, the lore is interesting and the characters are all so unique and different. Every actor takes a few episodes to settle in to their characters, but once they do, they fly.
There is no getting around that the mini episode size hurts the storytelling (21 episodes, most at 12-17 min long). And that is a bummer, because the world this show is building, is AWESOME.
Thereโs female-focused friendship at the forefront, not to mention a really well-executed love triangle that intros two VERY good, but extremely different, options. The #Team discourse is about to go crazy.
Despite the episode length issue โ which bleeds into the pacing, etc โ the show is a blast, and I hope it takes off. The staying power and potential is endless. Perfect #Halloween binge, too.
(Oh, and @DevonESawa has still got it! Heโs truly so good in this.)

COVEN ACADEMY premieres tonight on Freeform, tomorrow all episodes on Disney Plus across the globe. Created by the incredible Tim Federle, itโs supernatural teen angst dialed up and in. I had such a great time making it. Amazing cast, crew and executives. Enjoy!

I am absolutely loving this Coven Academy so far. The multiple plot twists that just keeps coming love it.
It's like a live modern teen Monster high. Not like how Nickelodeon did it with a musical.
Back to its original teen drama roots. I'm also feeling it.
