Are we seeing Klee's genius—or just our brain doing what it does best: finding order in chaos?
At first glance, it looks simple: a grid of glowing colors.
But Klee wasn't trying to paint a landscape or a story.
He wanted to paint rhythm itself. Small squares interact like musical notes, creating balance through color rather than objects.
Nothing is happening here.
Yet the painting feels alive.
Did Klee create harmony, or are we creating it ourselves?

#BiennaleArchivio #WillemDafoe: “The first thought I had when curating the programme for the #BiennaleTeatro2026 was to find a way to honour and commemorate the artist #RobertWilson. I worked with Bob and, in many ways, grew up alongside him. When I was living in #NewYork and walking around the city, I saw a performance of EINSTEIN ON THE BEACH. I think I saw more of #BobWilson’s productions than those of any other director. He was incredibly prolific. He was also a great actor, and I truly enjoyed working with him. I adored him. Paying tribute to him was simply something we had to do.”
