The IGAD Head of Mission to Kenya, Amb. Dr. @FatumaIAdan, emphasized that health security requires a One Health approach, backed by reliable laboratories and effective early warning systems.
Developed by @ASLM_News, #QualiPATH provides a standardized, stepwise approach to assessing animal health laboratories and guiding them towards international accreditation.
With over 70% of emerging infectious diseases originating in animals, strengthening veterinary laboratories is vital for early detection, reliable diagnostics and surveillanceโhelping prevent zoonotic threats from escalating into public health emergencies.
