I haven't read the entire conversation in detail, but here are a few corrections that caught my attention: 1. Zelenskyy and elections in Ukraine Zelenskyy's country is fighting a defensive war. Of course, you can't realistically hold elections under those circumstances. Large parts of the country are occupied, millions of people have fled their homes, and so on. It's practically impossible. Besides, as already mentioned, Ukrainian law prohibits elections under martial law. Nevertheless, Zelenskyy offered to hold elections if Russia agreed to a ceasefire lasting at least two months or ended the war altogether. Russia rejected the proposal, using the excuse that Ukraine might use the pause to rearm. What a bunch of fucking bastards! 2. China and communism Yes, China is a communist country, at least officially. But calling it "Marxist-Islamist" is completely out of place here. (Unless I've missed something and the term was used in a different context.) 3. The comparison with Hitler While other dictators and regimes may have been responsible for more civilian deaths in absolute numbers, the time frame matters enormously. Hitler's Nazi regime systematically murdered approximately six million Jews in the Holocaust and millions of other civilians and victims of Nazi persecution, primarily within just a few years. The extraordinary speed, scale, and industrialized nature of these atrocities are what make Hitler particularly horrifying. So the point isn't simply who killed the most people overall. It's also how many were murdered, in how little time, and how deliberately and systematically those murders were carried out. That is why Hitler remains one of history's most extreme examples of human evil. One important distinction: comparing death tolls requires separating deliberate mass murder from deaths caused by famine, war, or government policies. Otherwise, the numbers can create a misleading comparison.
