Tech major Wipro has committed $200 Mn to its venture arm, Wipro Ventures, to accelerate investments in early to mid-stage startups.
🔸 In an exchange filing on February 26, the company said that this would be the fourth round of funding for its venture arm since its inception in 2015.
🔸 Founded in 2015, Wipro Ventures identifies and backs “high-potential early-stage startups” that can help the company deliver differentiated value to its clients. Wipro said that its venture arm has backed 37 startups operating in sectors like artificial intelligence, data and analytics, cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure to date.

Electric vehicle financing startup Vidyut has raised a fresh funding of $2.5 Mn (around INR 21.7 Cr) from Flourish Ventures.⚡
🔰 The company plans to deploy the fresh proceeds to expand its battery-as-a-service (BaaS) offerings for passenger and commercial EV segments.
🔰 Speaking to Inc42, Vidyut cofounder Xitij Kothi said that after its recent partnership with MG Motors and foraying into new vehicle categories, the startup now aims to strengthen its balance sheet and scale up financing in these segments by adding equity to grow its loan book.

D2C startup The Whole Truth has raised $15 Mn (around INR 129 Cr) in its Series C funding round led by European investment firm Sofina.

IN-SPACe launched the Technology Adoption Fund (TAF) to boost India's space technology ecosystem.
TAF aims to transition early-stage innovations to commercial viability, empowering NGEs (startups/MSMEs) and enhancing self-reliance.
The fund offers up to 60% project cost support (max ₹25 crore) for startups/MSMEs and 40% for larger industries.
TAF promotes domestic space technology development, reducing import dependence.
It supports satellite tech, propulsion, space communications, and emerging innovations, creating jobs and economic growth.
Companies can apply via the IN-SPACe Digital Platform.
Besides funding, TAF provides mentorship and guidance.
IN-SPACe, established in 2020, facilitates private sector space participation.
TAF underscores India's commitment to space innovation, competitiveness, and self-sufficiency.

Taking to a LinkedIn post, Zerodha founder @Nithin0dha said that the company has reached this scale without spending on advertising, adding that the approach aligns with the company’s philosophy of not encouraging excessive trading or spamming users.
“We may be the only B2C company to have reached this scale without ever advertising. In hindsight, not advertising has helped us stay true to our philosophy of not pushing people to trade, no spam, etc,” he said.
Notably, 30% of its users came via referrals from existing customers.
