Nine hours waiting on a trolley in A&E before they found me a bed, evidence of the deliberate running down of the NHS. Shame on the Tories. Fortunately, as we all knew, the wonderful doctors and nurses go out of their way to keep it running. Support the nurses.

In memory of former player Tony Johnson, his family have set up a JustGiving page, this will help fund vital research to treat Amyloidosis. This is a cruel disease that still has no known cure. Please give if you can and raise funds in Tony's memory, thank you. 🖤

Anybody else incensed by this? He could easily afford his own private jet but it’s the taxpayer who will be footing the bill. Another example of how out of touch this lot are
NEW: Rishi Sunak took a private jet to Leeds yesterday, No 10 say, because it was the most efficient use of his limited time. ✈️

Congratulations to Robert Elstone, the former Super League boss who has been made an MBE in the New Year Honours for services to sport but can’t spot any other beneficiaries from rugby league

Awful news this morning with the death of Tony Johnson, a fabulous player for Huddersfield throughout the 70s and 80s who was president of the Players Association. Above all, a really good bloke who will be sadly missed. My thoughts are with his family and friends

Well that should clinch the knighthood. Sorry to be cynical but, to remind everyone, no one in rugby league has ever been knighted!
“𝙄𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝." A huge welcome to Kevin Sinfield who will join England Rugby as defence coach of the men's team. More 👇
