The Insurance and Pensions Commission (IPEC), in partnership with key stakeholders in the insurance, pensions and social welfare sectors, will be conducting a free medical outreach programme for the elderly and road accident victims in Chiredzi and Mwenezi Districts, Masvingo Province.
The outreach is being held in collaboration with the Insurance Council of Zimbabwe (ICZ), First Mutual Health, Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe (IIZ), the National Social Security Authority (NSSA), the Zimbabwe Association of Pension Funds (ZAPF), Nyaradzo, the NRZ Contributory Pension Fund (NRZCPF), the Life Offices Association of Zimbabwe (LOA), the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, and the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
The initiative targets all persons aged 55 years and above, as well as victims of road traffic accidents, who are invited to access free medical check-ups and treatment. The programme seeks to promote access to healthcare for vulnerable groups while reinforcing the role of the insurance and pensions industry in community welfare.
