This is correct. Unfortunately BAAJA -- yes, the new version -- would make it significantly easier for Doug Burgum to build data centers, nuclear waste dumps, and more on public lands, all while riding roughshod over Tribal sovereignty.

Our public lands aren't a piggy bank for Trump's powerful friends.
New: The Interior Department may open tens of millions of acres of public lands for AI data centers. ProPublica found Trump officials who oversee these lands stand to profit from the growth of the industry. propub.li/4irJtn8

NCAI still opposed to BAAJA
Replying to @SiegelScribe
INBOX: the National Congress of American Indians and @NATHPO_org are among groups of “106 Strong Coalition” still opposed to the bill because it doesn’t remove the NHPA section. That wasn’t on the table in negotiations

This bill effectively rewrites the 3 most important environmental laws in our country. The NEPA, ESA, and NHPA have been decimated under this admin, and this bill makes it worse. AI Data centers, fracking/oil pipelines, nuclear power stations on Tribal and public lands

Our own Elizabeth Bechard and Celerah Hewes have a new op-ed in TIME: "You Can't Make America Healthy by Letting Polluters Off the Hook." Gutting federal methane protections lets polluters off the hook — and puts the nearly 18 million people who live near oil and gas wells, including more than 1 million young children, at greater risk. Methane leaks can release benzene, linked to cancer. Read it here: time.com/article/2026/11/06/… — and please share. #CleanAirMoms

yes because passing permitting reform is the #1 priority of the American Petroleum Institute because it will guarantee lock-in of America's record LNG export capacity. Nothing to do with Transmission pro- or con. Everything to do with API's top priority: deregulating LNG exports

Young Black women in rural Mississippi are trying like hell to make sure no ballot gets thrown out unfairly in the Scott Colom race. They are DMing friends and chasing down people who need to verify their IDs. My story (gift link) on the phenomenon: wapo.st/4AbqTpg

Democrats in Congress should not elect a Speaker of the House or a Senate Majority Leader who does not support:
✅ Medicare for All
✅ Abolishing ICE
✅ Banning hyperscale data centers
✅ Stopping aid to Israel

Somehow there's a march in NYC yet you'll struggle to find direct mention of this march from MSM which is located in NYC(!!!).
This march is happening in the districts of Jeffries and Schumer. This would seem to be a big deal. No?
🇺🇸 Thousands march through Times Square under “No Schumer, No Jeffries” signs after Democrats win the House and Senate
It's called "March for Our Democracy", and it celebrates the midterm results while pressuring the party’s incoming leadership.
Progressive groups are calling for contested votes instead of automatically returning Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries to their posts.
The split within the Democratic Party is now openly visible, even before the new Congress takes office.

Term limits would have kept Bernie from a generational leadership run in the Senate.
But, campaign finance reform, and ending Citizens United, would keep our politicians from being bought.
Campaign finance reform must come before term limits.
End BIG money's corruption.

This bill allows many construction projects to destroy archaeology in America without any prior investigation
Urge your elected reps to change it or vote against it
One of the first things the new Congress should do is pass legislation that requires CLARITY OF TITLE and INTENT of all bills - especially with Omnibus bills loaded with pork.
Case in point, the Senate is voting Monday on a bill that's called "Bipartisan Affordability and Jobs Act."
Sounds good right?
That bill allows this corrupt administration to make
all destructive permits they've issued on our protected lands PERMANENT, and legally irreversible.
Republicans will destroy it all.
