There was a time when conservatives said character mattered - that philandering, dishonesty, and betrayal disqualified leaders. Today, too many look the other way, not because the behavior changed, but because the jersey did. And ultimately, the responsibility falls on voters. Yep - you guys. Politicians reflect what you reward. If you keep electing people without integrity, you shouldn’t be surprised when integrity disappears from public life.
