Trying to understand China's political system since the rise of the CPC is like counting grains of sand at a beach. A country that literally killed it's own President Liu Shaoqi and Defense Minister Peng Dehuai because Dictator Mao Zedong was displeased is not a normal State.

What's hilarious about this story is how innocuous Mbappe's comments about Mao were. And Mao's been dead for 50 years anyhow. The CCP really are a bunch of snowflakes at the end of the day.

U.S. Congress sought scrutiny of Somali and Somaliland remittance firms, including Rasmi Pay (formerly Taaj Services US), Dahabshiil and Beeso Corp (PaySii, reportedly linked to @Hormuud ).
In 2024, Taaj admitted U.S. Bank Secrecy Act violations: transporting $900,000 in physical cash to the Middle East without reporting the intercompany exchange, and failing to report over $66 million in transactions. Judgment was deferred for 24 months.
Now, in a separate pending Kenyan case, KCB has flagged Taaj’s Rasmi Pay links, KSh 100 million in daily cash withdrawals and sanctions-related concerns.
The Kenyan court questioned KCB’s earlier regulatory reporting. Why isn't this receiving coordinated U.S.–Kenyan financial-intelligence scrutiny? @USTreasury @USEmbassyKenya
