Ugandan pastor Jengo has stirred debate after asking members of his congregation to sell their personal property and bring all the proceeds to church. Pastor Jengo urged believers to dispose of everything they own and surrender the money to the church.

Pastor Jengo, son of the late comedian Pastor Yiga, has reportedly asked his followers to sell all their properties and take the money to his church in Kawala. Surely, this raises serious concerns. Religious leadership should be about guiding, nurturing and empowering believers, not placing them under pressure to surrender everything they own.
