Meanwhile, one of the disgruntled MLAs met CM Omar Abdullah in Jammu today.
MLA Sonawari @HilalAkbarLone1 called on the Chief Minister today at Civil Secretariat, Jammu, and discussed key developmental priorities and public welfare issues concerning his constituency.
National Conference leader Salman Sagar accused Aga Ruhullah of joining forces seeking to weaken the party, alleging that his exit from the NC had fulfilled the BJP’s agenda.
“BJP succeeded in taking our people out in Jammu - Surjeet Singh Slathia and Devender Rana. Now they have managed to take Aga Ruhullah out of the National Conference. The BJP’s agenda has been fulfilled by Ruhullah,” Sagar said.
He accused him of betraying the people, saying Parliament was the biggest platform to raise public issues but that he had done little during his tenure as an MP.
“Parliament is the biggest space to address issues. There is nothing substantial that he did during his tenure, except for one. I do not hesitate to say that he has betrayed the people, including those from his own constituency,” he said.

Why are you afraid of the BJP? People voted for you to fight for their rights. Have the courage to stand up and trust God instead of asking people to fear the BJP,” he said.

Supporters of Aga Ruhullah have gathered as the three-time Budgam MLA-turned-Srinagar MP is set to formally announce his resignation from the Lok Sabha and JKNC at a public gathering in the district.
He has accused his party leadership of abandoning its electoral promises on Article 370, political prisoners, and the rights of people in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources said the legislators took a collective oath and resolved to press for four major demands, including the removal of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, the dropping of ministers who have completed two years in office, and the removal of Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary.
The legislators have also demanded the immediate withdrawal of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) portfolio from the Deputy Chief Minister and called for a comprehensive cabinet reshuffle in consultation with all MLAs.
