I couldn't agree more! I mean, when have we seen Shai carry a short-handed roster before?
Other than when Chet missed 50 games with a hip injury, Hartenstein missed 25 games, and JDub played an entire finals run with a busted wrist, and SGA won his first MVP, led the league in wins, and won a ring in 2025.
But even with that, it's only 1 year, right? It's not like he went back-to-back as MVP last season, had the West's No. 1 seed for the third straight season, and again had the best record in the NBA. While at the same time, Dub missed almost 50 games, Ajay Mitchell missed 25, and OKC swept the first two rounds basically without Dub, pushing the Spurs to 7 last year with Ajay and Dub healthy for only a couple of games.
To act like this is the first time Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will have to win and perform under these circumstances is incredibly stupid and screams casual.
It's okay we about to see if SGA is a real MVP. If he's that guy he will lead OKC to the #1 seed. Isn't that what they been saying about Luka who hasn't been on loaded rosters

NEWS: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and The SGA Foundation have partnered with Make-A-Wish and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma to launch โHome Court Heroes.โ
Kids will get to attend games and hangout with SGA afterward.
