Hibike! Euphonium is still by far my favorite anime. Completed my rewatch and there's gonna be a void in my heart for a little while...

To this day, Liz and the Blue Bird is still the strongest piece of media tying music and storytelling so intricately together. All of it is flawless in my eyes; whether looking at the direction, delicate art style, soundscape 𝘢𝘯𝘥 silence... or simply the beauty of the piece.

Music can communicate so much alone. It's a universal language that needs no explanation. But when used so purposefully to tie a parallel between the fairy tale and these two's own lives and understanding of not only themselves, but also each other... It clicks beautifully.

Even after all is said and done. These two aren't Liz and the Blue Bird. They are Mizore and Nozomi. Individuals in their real world, living their own story. It wasn't so literal. They aren't saying their goodbyes, they've simply met in the middle. No longer disjoint.
